So if there was no facebook invented... what do you think will dominate the internet nowadays? except for google of course, say do you think friendster would still be active, or that multiply will still be known to the people and will still be widely used? what do you think?

Friendster was dominant before Facebook. I guess, if Mark has not come with the facebook idea thing, Friendster will still be the top social networking site for today.

That's right! It's because of facebook that the friendster company shuts down. Still, kudos to friendster, had they've been competitive enough against facebook, they could probably still be working today.

I believe if Facebook doesn't exists, Friendster would still be on the top list. Many of us got addicted with Friendster before like what we are on Facebook right now but Facebook became more famous in any other social networking sites because it is very interactive.

If Facebook wasn't there it would be Twitter than would be the number one social network in users.

if there was no facebook, some other site that existed earlier similar to face book like orkut would thrive. orkut did quite well before it was wiped our by face book.

I think twitter, friendster, multiply or myspace would have dominated the social site if facebook had not exists. I do think friendster would still be active. It was a good social site but I got mad when they deleted all the photos. I was not well informed about it. I was also busy preparing for the board exam. I did not have any back up for those pics. :( It's buhbye to all of it. :(

that's right. friendster had their moments and sent out few emails to their members. i think it was great back then until there was facebook. haha now i am getting tired of facebook.. not sure about others though. its really the winner now by the number of people who got addicted to it.
maybe, if friendster or myspace was as fast as fb back then.. i think people would have not tried fb... maybe the sites that failed to make it now has somehow gottten too boring for the people. =)
