There can be many problems. Such as you are afraid that your credit card information will be stolen. And you can't see the real products and you are worried about the quality. As to me, sometimes I think the biggest problem is the delivery fee. Some nice products which are bigger and heavier will charge a higher delivery fee. This make me hesitate to buy it or not.

Delivery fees is always something that make the product cost went up, but there are some website which will deliver free of charge if you buy over certain amount money of products. In that way, it is more worthy.
From my experience, the quality and the correct item received are the major problems that I have encounter before. Although they are willing to exchange the right product for you, but you still have to bare the return delivery fees, so, that is what I do not like about online shopping the most.

I have never done online shopping so far. There are various reasons for it,but the main one is that this way It can't put my mind at rest ,nowhere near as convenient as going shopping at the store around us ,we get the stuffs as soon as we pay for them.Maybe we fall behind the times.

You want to check that the site you are shopping on has good security. The delivery fee is something we can't avoid. But we can shop where there are good deals on it. Like at overstock.com where they charge about $1 or so. If you are looking for certain products I would check around and see where the best deal is on the product and the shipping.

My greatest fear when shopping online is whether the product I've purchased would arrive at my house or not. I usually don't shop at websites where I need to pay for delivery.
I overcome this fear by reading customer's testimonials and if the testimonials are mostly positive, that will allay my fear a little. I will also look for an address and contact number of the online seller. If they've displayed their address and contact number, I will contact them directly and see if I get an answer. If I don't then I will not shop at the website.

Most things I buy I will want to see them before I buy them, and that doesn't mean viewing an image on the computer. Things like food, clothes and electrical equipment have to been seen in person and I wouldn't contemplate buying them on line, not for the security reasons of payment but I guess I am old fashioned, I like to try the clothes on first to see if they fit me and suit me, you can't tell this looking at a picture. With food I like to select what I want not have someone else do it for me! The only things I will buy on line are books, cds and dvds and that is all. You also have to be careful with the postage charges especially if you purchase on Ebay! Sometimes the postage costs more than the item!

With my credit card company there are many security measures in place and it seems to work very well. I hardly ever buy from a site until I have checked out the company first. First time buying, I sometimes phone the company if they do not have the Mcafee "safe site" symbol on my browser. At other times, I know the site well and I go through another piece of software on the site, set up by the credit card company that require random characters from a second password that I hold with the credit card compnay. Finally, my card is insured so that if somebody takes money, it will be put back into my account and the company will go after the person who has stolen the details. It is getting more and more difficult to get credit card details these days, if people make sure they check everything out with a company they don't know. _Derek

I have brought a few things online, and so far i have never have any problem.
I buy the stuff through my Paypal account,so if am using a credit card are any other card no one can see the number but Paypal.
And the things i see online are the exact thing i get,and most of the things that i brought are free shipping are the fee is a small amount of money.
I buy Things form top rated sellers on eBay.
So far i never have any problem, and i always get what i order. It make take a while to reach me because i live far,but I always get what i buy.
Shopping online can be good, and bad so you just have to be careful of which site are who you buy things from online.

I am disabled so I shop on-line or through catalogs. It is a hardship for me to go to the store and it is much easier to have purchases delivered. I am always worried about my banking information being stolen, so I use PayPal or a credit card that your not responsible for unauthorized purchases. I have a credit card that is tied to my bank account, but I never use that for puchases. Mostly I have been lucky with the things I bought online. I really like that you can read the reviews. They have changed my mind more than once. There have only been two purchases that I regret. One was thicker than I wanted, and one was thinner. I recently bought a rug on-line and I thought it said it was washable, but when I got it it says spot clean only. I may have made a mistake though because it is the same as in the picture and I looked at so many, I may have bought the wrong one.

up! that's correct that's why you have to be smart on how to buy this things onlie! you don't want the delivery fee to be that pricey than the actual thing that you bought online...wouldn't you?

Well for me, I think one of the biggest problems while online shopping is that on pictures they look so good but sometimes when you get them, they aren't that good. It just gets me so mad and that is why I prefer going for a shopping spree rather than online shopping :)
And yes the credit card information too!

i agree with you, in online shopping, there are so many problem.
you dont know the real products, someone only give you an information that not guaranted.you will be worried about your credit card also, there are such important information that can be stolen and use it for jacking your card.
it is too dangerous.
and then about the delivery also, when you have pay it, you will wait it,and it will disturb your mind.
you will worry wether it will arrive in your place or not.
it is better to do direct shopping i think.

I look for places with the fairest shipping prices, and i want to make sure I get what I pay for. It will cost less to ship a book, than it will cost to ship new hockey equipment, or heavy electronics, for example. It would also cost me money to hire a taxi to go where I need, to pick up the items, so in some cases paying a bit of shipping is actually worthit!

Another thing as what my friend said, the items in the picture sometimes appear different in actual..but based on my experience... I am contented and happy on the things I bought online...anyway, it is just from another island of our country.

I never bought anything online. I think buying online will be good as it will cut the margin which the shopkeepers take from us for their own profit.
If I have to buy a Laptop then it will be good if I buy it directly from the company.

hi:)
the thing that I don't want for online shopping is I don't see the product in actual, because sometimes it looks good in photo's but not really when you see it when it's already in front of you, or in the clothes you can't try it first before you buy and sometimes the fit is not that good... so I still prefer buying on malls but buying online is also good but not in clothes and shoes maybe.

This is why I do not involve my credit card information! To do my online shopping I rely my services on PayPal! Since a majority of my earnings, well actually all, are sent to my PayPal, I use the money as currency for any online activity whether it be renting referrals, buying programs, or online shopping! Its so easy to do with online shopping and I haven't had one problem with shipping! Actually, shipping is amazing even if you get the slow, sucky delivery! :)

Lots of problems can occur in online shopping.
That's why I try to shop only from shops that are secure and I have used before.
I usually prefer paying with Paypal so my credit card information can't be stolen.
And I shop from stores that offer you to return the thing you bought if you aren't happy with it.
Happy Thanksgiving! :)
