Can't they understand that Iam working???????????

I guess, their reasoning is just a pure word to reason but not totally the reason why they are making such noises in specific time you are working? Possible that an existing rivalry from their hidden agendas. The truth to that, is you also own a partial of space there not only them,means you have also your own freedom and privacy and to speak what you desire too. You are working to sustain your living right? then, if they are considerable enough to understand you, then might not have done those immature things to you. Why I said those things? because Im pretty sure you are not doing the ESL teaching for 24 hours and you will be aware if you ever speak loud? how come they will say you speak loud when you are descent enough to be aware about your environment and able to cope and understand other people since you are a teacher meaning you have the capabilities to teach and guide other student/person. Maybe they feel awkward because you are teaching some of your boarding mates and for they assume all the attention will be for yours. Then, in that way, it is selfish Act on them. For, people like those, will be hardly to let them understand you if they will close their ears and may not make apologies for you. I think those boarding mates of yours whom you are teaching with can justify if you are not too loud because if I am to ask, it is very normal you have a loud voice that is enough for your student to hear and understand well especially if during those times your other boarding mates are making noises.. Anyway, do not mind them, they will feel you distracted at all. Just go on with your plans.. since, your stay there is not be for permanent, as long there are other people surrounding and do understand you well in your situation, do not ever mind them at all.. Since, they will not give any good contributions for you.. at the end of the day, it will only be you working for all your needed stuffs. GREAT TIME for you

Home is home. And although many people do work at home it's not the same as elsewhere. So they won't understand it's your working place, won't make less noise since they are home as well.

sometimes we're just stuck on some inconsiderate individuals and we don't have a choice but to stick with them. It's kinda awful but since we had high level of understanding, just let them be.^_^ But i know it's pretty annoying though.
