I always hear this saying that if you're always happy, the tendency for you being in good health will be high but i dont know why, maybe its because if you're always happy the rate of hypertension and high blood pressure will be in its minimal. What is your opinion about this?

I think happiness is the fundamental keyword for our health. Without a good mind with happiness (for a sick person) there is no use of medicines. Most of the doctors ask the people to be be good with happiness and joy. SO I think happiness plays an important role. What do you think ?

I agree with you. What will be the reason to keep on living if one cannot be happy? What for will be living life if it is all bitterness and unhappiness that surround us? Most of us set our good goals in life out of a happy disposition. Those goals in life are always set to make us enjoy a better life.

It is really true. While we are happy all our inter system will have a smooth functioning. If we are in a tensed mood our digestion will not have proper function that is why while we are angry our stomach will get upset first. so happiness is the key of good health.

Of course happiness is key to good health because when I'm depressed or saddened, I don't eat right (I splurge with junk food), I don't exercise, and I'm dragging my feet around the house! When I'm happy I feel motivated to do just about anything, I'll workout and eat well, and sleep well, and be social and merry! Think about it, if you're not happy, then you're either sad, mad, or depressed! How can this in any way be beneficial to your health? It can't! The only positive I can get from being down or depressed or insanely mad is working out, and that would be like a reciprocal action, because I would be angry, but in the long run actually helping my body??? (That would be so weird!)

1. Proverbs 14:30: "A sound heart is life to the body; but envy is rottenness to the bones" 2. Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart does good, like medicine; but a broken spirit dries the bones" Your opinion on happiness as related to one's health is supported by Biblical verses above. By the way, hypertension and high blood pressure are synonymous, well, at least, in medical jargon. Nonetheless, too much joy may sometimes result to stroke. Hence, moderation is still a key to keep your blood pressure within normal since this disease is connected with one's emotional state.

Being happy has something to do with having a good heart and life since I haven't seen anyone benefit from being sad and frown the whole day. If a person is not happy, life seems to be so hard and heavy. So even if the challenges of life is hard, just cheer up and smile and be thankful. It is important that we know how to be contented and expect little to be happy and don't put too much complications in your life.

Listen, I am not sure about if it really is the "fundamental key to good health", but I can tell you something. I personally, very oddly, always have to achieve something in a day, in order for me to feel happy. Now, once I achieved something and I am happy, I feel more enthusiastic, more lively and more energetic. This is my point, I am not saying that the statement you have heard from others is wrong, it could well and truly be that happiness really makes you a healthier person. But what I believe is that happiness certainly provides you with much more enthusiasm, passion and energy towards what you want to achieve. Let's say for example a person is trying to lose weight and they are unhappy about ( let's be really silly here) the mess in their house. If they set themselves a goal, to clean up their house and then begin their 6 month workout, they just feel more satisfied and enthusiastic about their future goals ( please don't take that as serious with the messy house, it was a silly example, but I hope what you mean). Therefore I believe that happiness certainly can be recognized as a certain trigger that causes more sparks of passion, enthusiasm and energy towards what you want to achieve. Well, this is my opinion on a very interesting topic. Would you agree with this opinion or do you have a different opinion?
