Hi,my dear Mylotters~
So I went to sleep at 00:30 this morning.Woke up around 10:30a.m..Stayed on bed and watched two mini episodes of Shogun with my bf.Felt hungry and had leftover turkey meat for lunch, didn't even brush my teeth. One good thing is we finished all the turkey meat.Haha~Later on got up and took a shower.I was about to leave to study then. But my bf put in Animal House and he has been raving about it for quite a long time.Couldn't resist the temptation and watched it with him.By the time we finished watching it,it's already 3 in the afternoon.I was feeling a little bit lethargic again and slept for another two hours. Now I think about it,I slept for half of the day~I feel bad for wasting so much time on sleeping. But my bf said since I slept for this long,it means I really needed it.
I don't know why but I just feel very tired recently.Probably he's right about it.Now I'm wondering if I could still fall asleep tonight.:P
Have you ever had this kind of situations?

Hi,WakeUpKitty~
Sorry about that.It is terrible when you know you need more sleep but you just have to get up.
I don't sleep in usually.Even in holidays,I wake up early. However,I'm getting lazier recently. With my big exam done,it just feels I deserve a good rest. And being in college and not having many classes to attend means I have the ability to sleep in.
I do need to work harder from now on though. With enough rest,I can put more energy into my work.
Thanks for sharing and hope you can have the time to sleep in soon.

Don't feel guilty. Just savor the moment that your body recuperated with that long hours of sleep. It is better than not having any sleep at all. And even better than not being able to wake up at all. Your body probably needed that to minimize your sleep deficit. I'll take any sleeping time that I can without even feeling guilty at all. Except of course if I excessively slept when I have something to do or not being able to wake up even with my alarm ringing on. That's when I will get guilty myself. I do experience such excessive sleep mostly during weekends or after an exhausting trip, workout or sports activity. I believe it is the body's way to keep you alive and kicking after a lot of stress was given to it.

Hi,narthan~
That's really a good regimen you've got.Early to bed,early to rise.I hope I can form a regimen like that but I'm just such a night owl~
It's said a 20-minute nap is best for health.But I usually can't take a nap that short.
Thanks for sharing and regards to you, too~

As he said, if you slept that much probably you needed it. Some reasons for fatigue at this time of year are holiday stress, lack of sunlight and natural light, eating "comfort foods",and being less active. I hope you are alright. Try getting out in the sun more and have more daylight time outdoors. Eat healthy, go to bed early.

Hi,GG~
I don't really think it's holiday stress, lack of sunlight or natural light since I didn't do much for the Thanksgiving dinner and I usually go to the balcony to get some sunshine. It was my first Thanksgiving and I just helped my bf grill the turkey, beef and chicken. It was wonderful
And I had my comfort food last night. With my bf being unable to eat seafood,I had all of them.Guilty~
My bf did say that I probably had too much turkey meat and also stressed out because of the mid-term exams and the BEC.He told me turkey meat usually makes people feel tired.Anyway,I'm feeling much better now.Hehe~
And thank you for your advice~:)
Have a nice day~

Good day, babyanna. The jury is now ready?.We have a verdict: not guilty! You are not wasting your time. Sleeping is an activity, a response to a biological need. I'm glad that you are listening to your body that's telling you to recharge your batteries. I'm sure you will be able to fall asleep when you need to. We belong to the same species and our situations are more or less similar. Yes, I've had this kind of experience. I used to work the graveyard shift,i.e, Sunday nights to Friday mornings. When I got home, I used to sleep all day on Fridays and wake up Saturday morning. Of course, there were times when I had to get up to use the loo. Don't worry, there are millions and billions and trillions of us who respond to this kind of physiological need. I wish you good health and peace of mind always, my friend.

Hi,jricky~
I used to do that while I was in high school. It's so quite at night and I just locked myself in my study room and do some reading and writing or watch some classic movies and my favourite TV shows.Great memory~
Now,I stay up because my roommates are all night owls and sometimes with them chatting with their friends on IMs or talking with each other,it's just hard to fall asleep early. And I'm usually a night owl too.
Anyway, thanks for sharing and reminding me of those great memories.Have a nice day~

Yah, our body adjust and knows what we need.
I knew when i am not drinking a lot of water that I am not fully hydrated when I start craving for salty foods.

Hi babyanna
Sleeping most of the day... You all Okay... I mean with your bf around how could you do that
I spend most of the days sleeping too... but that is because of too much of my medicines... Have a dull head most of the time...
But these days when my wife is away... I am finding it difficult to find sleep for me... spend about 4-5 hours only as I just am not myself when she is away...

Hi,thesids~
Awww, that's so sweet~Hope your wife come back soon.
I suffered insomnia the night my bf was away.I was helping him clean the place while he was being a question master in a speaking contest downtown. So that when he came back he could see his place nice and shiny.Haha~He gave me the door key so I thought I could sleep at his place since the Internet won't be cut off at his building.Yet with his bed being so big and empty without him,I simply couldn't fall asleep. It was torture.I knew I needed some sleep since I was exhausted from the cleaning, but I just couldn't get any.Don't ever want that kind of experience again.
Haha,he was playing Wii when I slept in the afternoon. And he got up about the same time in the morning. So yeah,we are okay.:P FYI,he's even lazier than I am.Haha~
Anyway,have a nice rest of the day~

Good day, friend. I have similar exprience. Recently I have been busy preparing for several contests. I would stay up late until 2 or 3 a.m. And then I wouldn't get up until 10. It really makes me feel tired. So forming a healthy habbit is really necessary. Unhealthy lifestyle would do harm to health and we would feel tired even if we have slept long hours. So just go to bed early and then rise early. Plus, doing some exersice in the daytime would also help you fall asleep and get good sleep.

hehe, yeah i label those days as my lazy days. sometimes, it makes me feel guilty. But i think we need to take a break too, so let's be happy in those times and indulge! careful, don't overdo it. this is only okay when it's for a day or two, never always. if it's always, then you would become a fat couch potato.
