I think definitely music can make people emotional. Happy music can cheer us up,while when we get hurt, we tend to turn to some blue ones. Seems what the song says is just words in our hearts.

hi pepai! good day friend! yes, there are really times like that. i feel you too. music is our sort of exit for that kind of emotions. i like listening to music too specially when i am in love! lol i would listen to cute music and feel like i'm the girl on a music video. also when i am sad i would want to listen to sad songs and be the drama queen recalling the moments i had with the person that made me sad. and of course when i am happy when i would want to dance my heart out! music is a big part of my life. i can't imagine a place without music.

I don't get emotional when I'm listening to all music, but I do get emotional about some music that reminds me of specific times in my time. During my life, I tend to listen to my favourite songs over and over again when they come out, and this can mean that I learn to associate songs with things that happen to me during that time. So, when I go through a tough time in life, I soon find that I can no longer listen to the songs that were my favourite at that time because they make me get incredibly emotional about whatever it happens to be that I'm remembering at that point.

I usually listen to music when driving in the car. We no longer have a phonograph to play the old vinyl records on. Which I truly miss. I love the music that I grew up listening to. Love to dance to the old records. Remembering things in our past through records is a nice way to remember and relax.

Yes...it changes my mood. Sometimes when I need a lift in my spirits a certain song will help. Some songs make me cry when connected with a certain memory...some make me laugh....or long for love.

Yeah, almost all the time. I'm a music lover i just can't imagine how to live without music. Most of my collections are mellow and love songs. So everytime i play it i can't help myself but to start reminiscing and get emotional especially when the lyrics reflects what i feel. But if it's pop and upbeat it lifts my mood and that's what i choose to listen when i want to feel happy.

Well i do get emotional when listening to music . Its natural i think . I do connect everone with songs or artists . I listen lots of styles and artists so some artists i connect with my friends or some songs . When i started going out with my ex i started listening to her music too and now some song of the artist and the artist it self remind me of her and lots of the moments back then . I connect music with peoples , places and memories :) So when its something sad it might burst me in tears or something fun i might start laughing :) Music is the power :D (Heavy Metal Powaaa :D )

Yes, I always get emotional when I'm listening to sad music, especially if the songs have good lyrics that I can totally relate to. Sometimes I will even have a tear in my eyes, that it's so embarrassing when I am using the public transport lol . Haha I can totally relate to you. I will even act like I'm in a music video .

Songs contain and compose of emotions and thoughts that are related in our life.Sometimes there are instances that the songs we are hearing is related to what we feel as of the moment that makes us emotional.Songs or full of emotions from our life that we express through songs.

uhh... no, i don't do that watching out for rain. -sweatdrop- i get more imaginative when listening to music, it makes me think of a music video i come up with, using the lyrics as some kind of narration of a story. taylor swifts songs are good for this, i can imagine two couples going through what the lyrics in the song is saying.

I too get emotional when listening to music. Even if the song has no lyrics at all, it can transmit a lot of emotion. I also get emotional when i associate a song with a memory (good or bad). If i fall asleep listening to music, I always wake up when I hear a song which i like very very much, no matter how deep I sleep.

I think some music really hits the nail on the head and it does evoke some emotions. I remember when My Best Friend's Wedding soundtrack came out and I listened to it I cried. It really says alot and made me recall the movie and past relationships. It all came rushing back.

Heh, music is always a part of my life, that is why I learn violin in the first place. Whenever I feel really down, I will grab it and start playing my favorite classical of all, Canon by Pachelbel, this song never fails at lifting my spirit back, always make me wonder how such a magnificent piece is done. When I am really in a mood for playing in an Ensemble but I was stuck in my home alone, I will always play that song full blast in my stereo while playing it harmonically with my violin, actually makes you feel like your playing in an ensemble, its always amaze me how a simple song can make a huge impact on my emotions XD

Sometimes when I listen to certain music it makes me emotional but it is very rare! I am very passionate with music though, so when I listen to melodies or ode-like songs, I do get sentimental. For example, when I listen to "Say Goodbye" by Mariah Carey, I remember loved ones that I've lost and I do tear up but it's very much necessary. If I'm listening to some Scott Mescudi, I don't get as emotional, but I'm very moved by his music and I sing along, and act, and stress the syllables because his music is comforting to me!

I remember buying Erykah Badu's latest album. I was driving I believe the song "window seat" was playing. The lyrics of the song was in tune with what I was feeling. I just busted out crying behind the wheel. I wonder if other drivers noticed my breakdown. It was sunny outside and my mood changed to happy again. I was going through a break up. There were some uncertainty as to wether we would see each other again. Music has a big effect on my moods. Especially if a song is well written and the melody is soothing. I'm a water sign too so maybe that explains my emotions.
