Last night at the home of a friend of mine we decided to watch this movie together: It's a Wonderful Life. By Frank Capra dated 1946. Although it is not the kind for me, a film mostly long (lasting longer than 2 hours), I found the film interesting, especially in some key scenes. Probably 'cause' of the fame that has had over time, I believe many of you reading this review it would have already seen, so do not write the story. Instead I will limit myself to write "the subject" treated in the film. THEME This is a parody of American society in key fabulous views. The figure of the old Henry Potter is clearly associated with Ebenezer Scrooge, Scrooge McDuck and all the negative symbols of capitalism. On the other hand, the idealism of youth and the oppressed of society - desperately trying to emerge from the crowd - will also be the joy of living due to feelings such as love and friendship, and family values??. MY COMMENT I must say I found a little boring the first part, but then after the key scene of the attempted suicide of the protagonist, saved by his guardian angel, has completely changed my opinion about the product. In fact, the guardian angel shows how the protagonist would be "the world" if he had not been born, completely different and negative. So he understands that just "Wonderful Life" and it's worth to live also in dark times of crisis.

This is one of my favorite holiday movies. I watch it at least once every year. I love the idea that people can pull togehter to help someone, and that helping someone out will turn around and help you when you most need it. I agree that it is a long movie, but I normally watch it while I am doing house work, like folding piles and piles of laundry so it seems to go by pretty quickly.

My Mam has never seen this movie! I am making her watch it this year, not that she needs too though I guess its all to do with demographics.
