I understand them well now.

Liberty Walk - This is a tattoo of a co-smiler (SMILER are Miley's fans)

I want to have the same.

For sure, all of us here already saw a person with tattoo(s). I do! Miley Cyrus is one of the people I admire the most. She has a strong personality and yes, she have tattoos too. I guess she have 6 or 9 tattoos on her body and each them have different meaning. She have "Just Breathe" on her chest, Love on hear ear, a dreamcatcher on her side and anchor on her wrist. She also has 5 tiny tattoos on her fingers: an equal sign, a peace symbol, a cross, a heart and the word karma. Before, I thought having a tattoo means you're a bad@$$ person and or you're a member of a gang. But I thought wrong! I also have a new friend who's a rider and he got lost of tattoos on his body. He told me each meaning of them! He have a dreamcatcher tattoo on his back and the meaning of it is just amazing! Miley has a dreamcatcher tattoo on his left arm. They both have the same meaning of it! A dreamcatcher makes me feel safe. It catches those bad dreams and nightmares that I had. It may sound weird coming from a big guy like me but its true. - my friend said. It’s a picture of the dream catcher that hangs over her bed with four feathers to represent her four brothers and sisters. The dream catcher is to protect them. - the meaning of Miley's dreamcatcher tattoo! Me, when I reached 23 or 24, I would like to inked myself just once. I want a tattoo on my right foot that says: Liberty Walk. Liberty Walk is one of Miley's song and for me it means that I'm free and I should walk wherever I feel to because I'm free.

I have tattoos too.. got one of them when i was 16 i think. I love my tattoos and never thought tattoos were nasty. I think people should be able to do what they want, if they want to get inked, they should. And I think people shouldn't stereotype people with tattoos. I am actually thinking of getting a new one but I don't know when or where. Life has been really hard this year 2011, would like to wash everything off and put a new start.

I am sorry for not uploading the pics of my tattoos, I hope you understand. So what kind of tattoo are you thinking of getting?? I needed some ideas for my new tattoo but I don't know what to get.

hello edsss.nice to hear from you again.i love to have a tattoo, too. i planned to have one but i hesitated to carry it out because i am afraid my parents will scold me or my grandparents might scold me too. i am also afraid to have one due to employment concerns and immigration concerns. do you have an idea about immigration protocols regarding having a tattoo?i am planning to go abroad and having a tattoo might prevent me.

hello edsss.thank you for responding back. i am planning to migrate to London and settle there for good.i am a nurse and i am not sure if hospital protocols in London prohibit nurses having a tattoo. you are right with your advice. if i really want to have a tattoo, i better have it inked abroad.

Hi rencarl! :) Yes, you better settle things down first when you get in London. For example, have a job first, your house (own or rent) and other important stuffs. Then, you decide when you want to get inked.

Where are you planning to migrate? I think it would be better if you just migrate first the if you've settled down things, then you decide to have a tattoo. It would be better, right? :)

Sometimes you have to watch where you tatoo or pierce your body. My girlfriend had a daughter who had just a tiny butterfly on her ankle. She went on a job interview. It was a good job and as the interview went on, she noticed how they were looking at her overall appearance. She had on hose for the interview but through the flesh colored hose the hiring person saw the tattoo. As they ended the interview, he told her the job was hers as long as she got rid of the tatoo. It was quite a bit of money over what she was making at her present job so she had to go to a dermatologist to have it lasered off so she could get her new job. Depending on what you want to do some jobs really do look at overall appearance probably not as much as when I was young, but some of those good paying jobs really do stick to the books still. My oldest son has tatoos and body piercings and the only kind of job he can get is back in a kitchen. He likes cooking so it suits him. My younger son has a friend that if you saw all he has on him he is not able to get a job at all. I really feel for these young people that do this on a moment whim and then it goes on to affect them the rest of their lives. Personally I don't like needles so I can't imagine having pain to get one when I don't like to even get a shot from the doctor LOL Good luck if you get one.

Hi marie! Thanks for telling me about those. Actually, I'm not saying I'll get a tattoo this instance. But no. I have time to think if I should get inked my body or not.

It's nice to have one small tattoo on the back, my friend. It's nice to look at , specially when you are in a haltered or backless top. But then i don't want the real tattoo. I can only go for the Henna tattoo. I fear being pricked.

I think that all of the people that make a tattoo, do it because of a reason, maybe to express their feelings or in memory of something or someone, and I respect that. In my case I don't like them becasue the fact that I will have them forever make don't like them.

Indeed. People who have tattoos put it on their body for some reason or some kind of tribute to a person they love the most. But you have your opinion and its very welcome here. Thanks for sharing your views!

Tattoo is body art. It was long ago people wore tattoo. Tattoo is similar to symbol form and each tattoo has its own meaning or tattoo that you have represent your personality. I don't like tattoos but it doesn't mean I don't like them as well. Sometime, placement, size, pictures of tattoo has to be strictly cared before we decided tattooing our body. I saw many people became uglier with tattoo and some are good with their tattoo.

I agree. Tattoos are a great way to show your personality and make yourself unique. I think the concept of tattoos for bad guys started in the movies.

Oh yes! That's true. That's where I got that thought that if someone who has a tattoo is a bad guy because I always watch action movies.

I used to dream of having a tattoo too. But the fact that you can no longer donate blood to someone if you are inked made me think twice.

Hi jonahh! :) Since I'm planning to have a tattoo when I age 24 (I'm still turning 18 now) so I still have time to donate my blood! :)

That was our stereotype for people with tattoos before, that they are bad. Maybe this is because of those gangster movies we see. But times have changed now, I personally think that tattoos are cool and artistic. Like what people say, tattoo is one way of expressing yourself. Getting inked is actually included in my bucket list. Though I know my mom would not approve of it, there's nothing she can do once it's already there. I would want to place the tattoo at the back of my neck, of back of my shoulder cause I think that's sexy. I still don't have an idea of what tattoo would it be. Anyway, do you think having tattoos would send a bad impression to employers? I am graduating from college a year from now and I'm afraid employers would not consider me because of having tattoos.

Oh glad someone could totally relate what I'm trying to mean here! :) Its in my bucket list too, and yes you're right. Parents can't do nothing when its there already! :) I guess, you better find a job first then decide if you want to get a tattoo. I have already decided that I'll inked myself when I reached 24 or 25! :) Or even 30, in God's will.
