Well, last Saturday was a holiday, so there was no work for me..i stayed at home and planned on decorating for Christmas and so i did..
But the kids got so naughty, too much so i told to stop and i told them to just stay put, color books or just watch cartoons for awhile since they were running around throwing balls and riding the bike..
So they did do that but kept on asking when they could play the bike again and i said not today.. i was busy setting up the tree and they did help me with that too..
Afternoon came and guess what? My daughter complained on headaches and i touched her forehead it was hot.. and i know she is having a fever. So i let her lie down and she told me she is now feeling cold..what the - i didn't let her play and now she is sick! There are times when i let her play till there is no tomorrow and she isn't sick!
It is monday now and i am feeling bad because she is absent from school and is at home..and i should have let her played!

Well, maybe you just mistook your not letting them play, as the culprit for your daughter's sudden sickness, but i believe it's not that.
Maybe prior to that she already is slowly having that. It's just that you were so busy decorating and so she kept it to herself , those some symptoms.

Actually, the weather can really make us sick. Was it sunny early on and then it rained? That could be a factor too.
Besides, flu is prevalent nowadays. In fact, our Logistics dept. all got sick with it, one after the other. I also had it two weeks ago and the our GM also got it , after i have talked with him, just as i returned back to the office. Sorry boss. . .

hi jaz, its not your fault,so don`t blame yourself.Young kids are susceptible to many things like the weather or even virus.Your daughter also may have drunk something cold and got the chills.Anything can happen. She could have caught the fever even if you had allowed her to play.Just see that she does not strain herself and recovers quickly.

Hi Jazel, don't worry, i am sure your daughter will get well soon. Seems like, year end kids tends to fall sick easily. Even my son recently just well from his flu illness. It comes in a sudden and i didn't realized it. Only when he is complaining that his nose is block, then i realized he is having flu. It is always important to make sure that our children have enough water to drink while they are busy with their activity. Because they are easy to fall sick when they don't drink enough of water.

Hi.... well, i thought you were Jazel.
I know kids are too naughty now a days but here the issue is different. You should take more care of her instead of blaming( i am not meaning exactly the same). So give her glucose water and juice as much as you can. No cold water, you better knows.
have a nice time.
Get well soon Jazel.

I honestly don't think that she got sick because you didn't let her play. She must have been coming down with something and it didn't hit her til later in the day. Don't beat yourself up over something you have no control over.

dont feel so bad hon. these things happen. i know it dont seem like it now but some day you will look back and wish they were little again where you have some control over their life. one xmas we wasnt going to have a tree not having money for a tree and a toy for the kids. my youngest son cried over wanting a tree. my neighbor was so nice, she bought us a tree. i said one year would not have hurt but thanks so much. she said, what if something happened and he was not around next year you would feel terrible that he didnt have a tree. and thats why i bought it for him. what a lovely neighbor she was.

I doubt if its because you did not let her play outside. She probably got a flu bug and it just decided to kick in on the day that all this happened to you.
so don't feel bad. I had 5 children and they could be playing outside and one come in and not feel well.
While I am older now and try to stay away from crowds like now since its Christmas, no one can predict when you will get a cold or the flu. Its just a thing that happens.
I just hope you don't get her well and then it trails on down the family.
That was always a nightmare for me with 5 kids.
Hope she is feeling better soon.
