i was just wondering why people would "like" there own posts on Facebook.
personally i don't press "like" on my own post because, whatever i post on my wall are things that i like or i want to share to other people in other words, it's on my wall because i like it, get my point? maybe i'm just naive, or narrow minded but that's just me :)
how bout you do you like your own post?

Heck no I don't like my own posts on Facebook! That's very lame and when I see my friends like their own posts I usually make fun of them the next day in class.
I consider it rather "weak" on your part to like your own status because of course we know you like your own status... you liked it enough to postin on your wall and to the hundreds of friends you have added on your account!

its very bad of you to make fun of others. u think u r a cool guy n criticize others of what others are doing. you are know one to tell others what to do n what not to do. if u dont like liking your own post den dont do it whats d deal... but let others do if they want to. may be its lame n weak for you coz u think it other wise. careful my friend you might loose your friends with this nature of yours coz everybody is the king of his own...

Well it always looked and sounded redicilous to do but well i started seeing people do so . Witch i think its pretty strange , i mean if i share something i mean i share it because i like its not like the like button shows that i like it .
And like on your own posts and comments is just pretty lame and stupid and most people i saw doing that are or 10 years old or just retarded CAPS spammers :)
But well people suck dont they :P

I dont mind , i played it but now i dont have much time and i play maplestory and League of legends from time to time :)
I changa games a lot since i cant find a good one or it just don have good comunity (or my friends dont want to play it) so playing alone gets booring fast :)

So true. I was very addicted to the game before when it was popular and most of my friends played it but now we stopped and ended up playing DOTA instead. It's hard to play alone, because there's no one to talk to, to share your interest with. have you tried anno1777?

i understand very well what you mean. I started the same discussion with friends and we shared the same "point of view" but out of curiosity i started this discussion here and maybe find few answers why they like their own post.
dont mind me asking but do you play ragnarok?

There are many times, especially if I am posting about my Online Business or just the product itself, I have been known to press like. Personally I see nothing wrong with people liking the Status, or video, etc. that they choose to post and share in Facebook. To me I feel like it tells a little more about who the person is as well.

I have seen many of my friends do that
many do like there own post as that would be a way to show other that i like this post very much
you point is also good but suppose we upload lots of photo and also like one of them it would have a different meaning

I'm guilty of doing this. Everytime I post something important I like it immediately. I don't have any particulat reasons for doing this other then doing it because I just feel like it. Facebook is really fun and I open my FB once in a while to check for updates regarding any events that our class is planning to have.

hi jtj, I totally agree with you that facebook is fun, and i open my account regularly because i don't want to forget birthdays and special event that involves me and my friends partying or having a get together.

I don't like my own post. I agree with you. The reason why we post something because we like it, we like it to be liked by others, we like it to share, we like it warn, we like it to give inspiration, we like it to express our emotions so posting a status means we like it already. :)

Honestly I never like any of my posts, it's common sense if your posting it on your page is because you already kind of like it, I least that my view and prespective on it, that's why you are writing or posting it on your wall. The only things "I like" are things my friends post or various other sites I have friended on FB.

I do the same things as well, i also try to ask some of my FB friends why they do it, but not really had a good response from them. I guess others just want the attention, but somethings are worth other people's attention as well, but,
I would still not like my post any other way :)
happy mylotting

i am just like you, i don't want to like my own post in my facebook.
i think it is silly action, why do we have to like our ownb post??
is it for ourselves??
no, it is for our friends, our friend that should give rate about our post, not ourselves.
so i think, there is no need to like our post.
whatever we post.

Some of my FB friends do that and wondering too why do they have to like it.It is their right and what to like to do so I guess we should respect it.I like my friend's comment in my post.

okay, now i get that everyone has their own opinion on this, but I can only think of one adequate description and it's like this,
"Liking you're own status on facebook is like giving yourself a high five in public" lol. So true.

I used to post every day something different in FB and "like" them but one day a friend of my husband said, danm! but Rosi have inbox full with all her post and then besides the post she likes her own post!
Now that you say that maybe she was right and I don't have to like my own post.

i think people like their own posts on facebook because they do appreciate or can relate to it themselves apart from sharing it to people and friends..that's why they like it..just depends on them..it's their own thing,, me i sometimes like my own photos, links, and posts that i share ..not all and all the time..but just those that i appreciate too much, i like it too and i want to share it to people..there some things i say and post that i just would like people to know about or to share to them but it doesn't mean i like it myself so i won't like it...just share it..

Thank you for sharing you thoughts. many of us think this way but there are some that do otherwise. I started this discussion to find out other people's opinion on the matter and some have given there reasons why they like it and i think i understand why some do it. but i don't plan liking on my own post anytime soon.
thanks for the opinion. cheers

Dude you are answering your own question dat every man has his own way of doing things. So if a person is liking his own post then he/she might be overjoyed n want to tell others about it. So next time you are going to raise question on people putting smileys on their post. so let it be and its nothing of you being narrow minded or naive coz its your nature n thats why you are unique n one in this whole world... So cheers my friend.

The question in this discussion is for my curiosity and i just wanted to say my side.
People have different opinion and as you said you have your own about the topic, and it adds to the answers that i'm looking for.
thanks for your opinion, cheers to you also :)
