Why hamster?

Many people, argue about what to call them, when you say you have a pet hamster, they will say it is a rat. No matter what to call them, it depends on the pet owner what he/she wants to take care of, like me, I like taking care of hamster. When I was in my elementary level I use to have 10 of them but unluckily they all die because they got sick but last May I bought 2 to start as a pet. Its not just me taking care of it, my mother help me specially when Terry got her first pups, it is rare to take care of it cause there are lot to consider but just like any other pets, my hamsters who are now 11 pieces can take my stress away.

I have been looking at getting a pet hamster, there is one at the local shelter I volunteer at he is so cute with his own personality. Many say hamsters are like rats, as well as guinea pigs, but they are completely different.

Oh hamsters are a lot different to a rat, I think they are more like a rabbit than a rat, they are very cute little animals and can make great pets.
