I just can't help wondering how those blind people look so happy. Last week while going to work, i rode on a public transpo vehicle together with some 6 or more (men/women) blinds. One guy was always throwing jokes especially about their situation. I remember him saying why is it so dark in the "jeepney", he will request for lights from the Light company to place it on each of their foreheads. Then he just keep on going while his fellows kept on laughing. They were just having fun as if other passengers are not there. Then i notice the other guy holding chess board. I was surprised, amused and amazed. How will he do it? It requires sight right? Then i as i gazed on the board the white part was kinda embossed but how will he know the position of the opponents pieces. So many questions in my mind but above of it all, is the happy faces they wear. Like all is normal and no worries. It made me contemplate on my life. Why can't just i be happy like them despite of the bad things that you face in everyday life.
How would you feel about this fellow mylotters?

It is all a question of accepting what is given to us by the God. some of us accept it as it is and carry on happily. A few others though everything is there feel that they do not have something. Happiness lies within ourselves and it not outside us. I know it is easily said but difficult to practice.
It is the realisation what cannot be cured has to be endured.
good day.

Why is it that most of us who are complete with physical abilities still complains that we lack this or that? It's really ironic to see people like them very much content knowing they "lack" something. And I think they don't compare as much as we do and avoids envy. What a peaceful world we have if that's the case.:)

Handicapped people are great examples of humility and contentment. They know that nothing will change if they complain and torment their lives so they just learn to love and accept what God gave to them.

What a coinidence? I was getting the same point. I know a visionless person -- he is professor in education in a university -- he can remember the number of red lights to reach a place from his home. His memory is excellent. God gives extra abilities in other fields when he gives problems in one area.
