APN (AM, PM, NYT) schedule is a bit tiring. When I go on duty today as AM shift the next day I would be going on a PM shift following day would be night shift. Schedule which is not normal for others but to some it is. It's a bit confusing sometimes and not that easy, because normally a person should be asleep when it's midnight but to me when it's my night sched I should be awake till morning. It's really hard to earn MONEY to some, me I'm not even earning a salary from this just for experience. I think sometimes it's not fair but what can I do it's just the way it is to us Volunteer Nurses.

hello julie. i am a nurse too. i have been a volunteer nurse in one month for a time and six months in my second hospital experience. i know exactly what you feel because i encountered that scenario of working just for experience but not being paid. patience is what you need my dear. it was tough for me also.i waited for two years before finally landing a regular staff nurse job. good thing for you that you have an APN schedule.in my current hospital job, we sometimes have an NPA schedule, or sometimes NPP schedule.
