Whats up mylot. Ever since I started watching youtube videos I stopped watching television. I still see TV every once in a while I say like once a month I watch TV but most of the time just youtube. Do you think one day youtube will take over television. Or do you think any other internet site will take over television completely one day. What are your thoughts on this?

YouTube is for people with very short attention span. It is great for tutorials and amazing events but you can't comapare short viseo clips to a play or a serial.
No. YouTube is great for what it does and TV will still be there for in-depth programs. I'm sure they can live side by side.

I didn't know that. When I upload video to YouTube there is a file size limit.
Can you get one and two hour long programs on YouTube now? In HD quality?

You are right. It is also good to get to watch what ever you want to watch whenever you want to watch it. Thats what makes internet beat TV.

Yes you are right. Most things will be viewed on the internet tv will just be where the first air. That may change too one day and the internet might be the source. Thanks for the feedback good day.

I think that it certainly might be the new TV for some people certainly. It's definitely a popular site to watch things. But television does still seem to be used quite a bit by a lot of people. I think that it just depends on the person and their preference.

That is true. Especially the people that want to watch certain programs at certain times or following a series that comes on at a certain time. I remember when I was like that but now its all web. Thanks for your response good day.

I think TV is finished unless they can make it so that it is like a 3D projector with lasers and you can see your favourite band or star in the middle of your living room like they are really there. I've stopped watching it because the videos on you tube are much more interesting. I have learned many new skills from watching youtube vids so it is much more useful than TV......also TV is not interactive like the computer so not as stimulating....

You are very right thanks for sharing that. I have also learned lots of new skills from youtube and you can learn them just by typing them in. You can even learn different languages. That 3d projector would be a great idea though projectors are amazing.

I agree with you on that, especially now in later times Youtube has completely taken over television, or at least for me, I don't watch television anymore, everything I need to watch I can find on Youtube. So, yeah, I think Youtube will completely take over television one day, or maybe not Youtube, but television will(and some already are) move to the Internet. In my country you can watch the whole TV programme on Internet.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes i think in a few years TV will be done. In the USA I think you can watch the whole TV on the internet but it would be expensive. But soon everyone will be able to afford it and the internet will completely take over all video.

In some case, i agree with this. For an example, we can watch music video on youtube with free. But, for some reason, we can not said that youtube is our new TV. Because at youtube, we cannot watch movie. I think that's why i said in some reason, youtube can be our new TV, but in another case it doesn't.

There are lots and lots of movies on youtube. Go to browse and select movies you can go to free movies and they have a huge selection of movies on youtube usually at least 1 or 2 years old though nothing recent usually classic. But I watch most of my movies on youtube.

I know what you mean. I have a fast connection and youtube still buffers from time to time. I still like it more though cause you can type in what you want to watch. thanks for the response good day.

Youtube may not be the new tv but tv is definitely trying to go digital, same as books. I mean honestly, it's much more convenient to watch your favorite music videos or tv shows on your iPod than it is to actually make time to sit down and watch actual tv. I mean, I don't personally see anything wrong with this transition, except it will take that one small mode of creating family time, but anymore, most families don't spend any time together anyway. What is our world coming to?

I know you are right families dont spend time togeather. Instead of the tv people can eat togeather that would work I guess. You are right it is easier to watch your favorites on an ipod and you can watch what you want on demand. The internet probably will replace tv thanks for your feedback good day.
