that is just some random thing. There is a one in millions chance that someone would give someone a gift with a bomb inside it by accident. You have a better chance of being struck by lightening. I wouldn't let this kind of thing keep you up at night worrying unless you're accustomed to taking unopened gifts that tick!

Now that was unexpected-able..But seriously, I will begin having my doubt when I see a stranger approaching me...with a warped package that looks suspicious! My mother always told me since I was small never ever receive something suspicious from a suspicious man...guess it really is a useful advise, and I do agree with the one who posted up there about say " Thank you for your gift, but I can't accept it", and if the man keep on insisting....maybe that is a sign telling you to RUN!

I don't really accept gifts from people that I do not know. I don't like packaging also. I love unwrapping gifts and the surprise of what it is inside and all of that but I'm not ok with receiving it in a simple recyclable paper bag. We started two years ago where we will not wrap our presents, instead we would just give it as it is or put it in a bag.

I think if someone likes to kill me he/she will. No escape from that since the killer will always find a way.
If you don't expect it, it will be hard to avoid it.
If you have had problems with someone, is that a reason to think they will send you a bomb? To me that is hard to believe too. So personally I could not avoid that either.
Perhaps if the receiver is getting more of these kind of presents the only way to avoid is to put the presents asis in a special place/bunker for at least a week? But then nobody should know about that either. Think a killer mostly knows you very well.
