Be friendly, attentive, helpful.
Start with saying hi. Give a hand if possible.
Start a short chat (hi, how are you, happy day, walk by at the beginning)
Ask yourself what exactly you like about that person so you are not hunting for a ghost-lover.
Use celebration days, special occasions as a reason to have more contact, to give/do something.
Try to find out her interests so you have something to talk or inform about.
Tell her how you feel!

The first advice someone would give you would be to be yourself and portray yourself as you are.
What I would say is be 'Real'. Don't go all cheesy, just gather all the strength and say a cool and casual "Hi". Initiate a conversation, if it goes well, maybe you can ask her for a coffee.
But don't do anything stupid like asking her to be your girlfriend on the first go.

There are now many social networking sites and maybe she is a member of one or several of them. Hopefully her profile is not private so you check her interests and current activities 
This will make it easier for you to know what topic to open up when you are with her. But make sure not to sound obvious, you might come out sounding really creepy

I think it can me done by disturbing her always in every matters. I mean that make the use of her in every activity which you do from the class. Such as ask the help for any matter,Just kidding any thing. I think this is the attitude girls love most. If you do so she feels that she is something special than a friend to him.
