How do you keep yourself from eating too much when all you can see in your fridge are all mouthwatering.. :-(
I think i will be having a hard time stopping myself to eat.Why,these foods are really delicious.We are preparing some sweets and salads for my father in law and i cant help but eat and taste each one of them.. :-(
In times like this,like occasions or celebrations brings you the food.Do you force yourself to stop or just eat to your hearts content.?Do you have anyway of motivating yourself to stop eating?

Nope I can't also stop myself from eating when I'm seeing really yummy foods. But the problem normally would be, I will quickly feel so full. Normally when it's New Year and we have a lot of foods on the table, I wanted to eat them all But because I have eaten so much, I would end up really bloated that I couldn't eat most of it. When my dad came back home, there's so much delicious foods and everyday they'll buy ice cream of different flavors coz he really likes ice cream (like he was a kid) So I can;t stop myself too and wanted to eat ice cream everyday, so now I feel so fat again.

that was before when I was in college and I heard those girls and actually making me hear what they say. I don't wanna be so fat now, as I know how hard it is to put down weight and it's not good for our health too.

The only thing that stops me from eating out during the festivities is my... But I have promised today not to share about it...
but you see, I cannot resist the temptation. so let me think of another one... I will be back with a better idea...

ok, It is the love for my wife that prevents me from eating out most of the times. I feel quite bad but then, I have to restrain as it doesnt go well with my health.
(hope I did not mention anything about my being ill) and gave an honest response... Lying doesnt come to me easily

@praaji: I am good with Chicken and Spinach... wanna try? or Even Paneer(this is cheese) dishes I cook almost everything without spices and I am a good cook. Just because I love to eat... and share with people around - kind of makes me happy. That is one reason, I keep asking you to visit us sometime and taste some good food that I cook

I know exactly what you mean, you spend most of the time picking and trying everything you can get your hands on other than preparing and/or cooking. I did that this Thanksgiving, by the time dinner came around, I was a bit stuffed from all the tasting I did, just to make sure that everything tasted good (at least that's the excuse we give ourselves) LOL .
I try to stop myself from picking myself, but sometimes the temptations are so strong it gets difficult, so I try to make up for it the next day, by eating salads, fruits to compensate for the day before.

It might be a sin for our thighs and belly, but god it is so good, I personally prefer to pick foods then to sit down and have an actual meal sometimes.

really? you try juice. it healthy and glut. try carrot juice, or tomato juice.
i like cucumber juice, it have some different taste.

I love to eat.I like eating different kinds of food.Luckily that I have fast metabolism that's why I don't have a problem in getting fat easily.I like eating with friends.

I actually do have the habit of eating too much . At nights when I go drink water, I always look in the fridge to see what is there that may be good. I do have a really bad habit because even when I finish eating dinner, I am in a mood to eat something at nights. I try to stop but I get the midnight cravings that I want to eat something. I should stop though as eating late can be bad.

I would love to taste and eat everything especially salads,pasta and sweets.
Then, starve myself for few days to loss those extra cholesterol and carbo in my diet- hehehe.

o can not eat when you urgently have a great desire to do so.
I know how you feel want to try everything.
you just have to have faith friend.
difficult but not how.
most importantly when you eat to some with whom to talk to have fun so I hope I forget about the hunger that you help to you.

Hello tamirs,
Like you i also find myself irrestistable when something delicious is kept in fridge.I don't know what happens to me if i see anything mouthwaterung in front of me,my hand automatically goes to that dish and find it uncontrolable it hardly matters if i am hungry or have my stomach full.
I have seen lot of people who are disciplined about eating but i am totally indisciplined and never say NO to anything whoever offers me anything to eat.

sometimem eating is something realy fun and exciting to do,.
everyday, i try to get a different foods and must be tasteful.
when i like so much a kind food, i reall get a problem to stop eating it.
i have to froce to myself to not eating too much by do any activities that could make me forget about it, maybe i play some game for forget it,
there are so many problem that can caused by too much eating, one of the problem is heart attack, if someone,everyday gets too much eating, they have bigger chance to get heat attack, and it is dangerous,
knowiing about that make me more careful in eating.

Hi tamirs, I doubt id you have a problem stopping yourself
from eating to much...Its probably the fact that when you do
see food that looks delicious you get craving of wanting to
eat...Bet your are not even hungry.
Only you can manage what you eat..you definately don't want
anyone else telling you not to eat this and eat that.
Just make up your mind that enough is enough...just because
its there dosen't mean you have to have some/all of it...

I definitely understand your conundrum. I use to love to eat and try all different foods. It is no sure way to stop you from overeating 100%, other than you. It takes much will power and discipline to break this habit. My biggest thing is "Out of sight, out of mind". Don't hover over places that you know food of your weakness lies. I understand that parties are the hardest to maintain this self discipline. You just have to be strong and limit yourself. It's nothing wrong with tasting food, just keep it in check and moderation. Take one bite if you must, and move on. If you can handle someone aiding you, might wanna get a friend to watch out for you and slow you down if you start to overeat.

I have the tendency to eat certain foods just because they are there. I think it's my nerves. When I'm under stress I tend to eat a lot, and I definitely have a sweet tooth. It seems like I'm always craving for something sweet, such as cakes, cookies, and certain candies. What motivates me from eating certain foods or consuming a certain amount of foods is the sodium content and calories. Sometimes, I try not consume a certain amount of calories and sodium on a daily basis.

Usually when I am cooking for the holidays, like making cookies, candies, etc., I don't eat much of them. That is the way I have always been. And when it comes to the holidays I only eat a few. Even when we are visiting others. After the holidays when all the leftover goodies are still sitting around is when I munch.
Enjoy you goodies but leave some for your father-in-law, LOL.

During special occasions, there are lots of foods in the table that's why it is hard to stop your self from craving. It is fine for the people not to stop there selves from eating all of those if they didn't have health issues. But with some people who must do a diet program because of the health, it is more hard for them to stop eating.
