i too didn't know that. what most of my neighbours thought was that if we snacked in between meals, we'd reduce our intake of our regular meals like lunch and dinner. thus that'd help balance our weight gain and all. i snack a lot and i do mean a lot, but i don't think i'm gaining weight tht much. of course, i'm not the type that gains weight easily too, but you'd definitely see some difference. of course, when you snack, i feel it's always good to have healthy snacks which i don't unfortunately. i can't keep myself away from junk food and sweet stuff. so guys, don't follow what i do:P

I concur. I managed to lose a few pounds by totally skipping snacks. I don't skip meals but I make it a point to eat only enough to get me to the next meal. Usually, the food we eat for snacks are small in quantity but packed with so much calories. It cannot even give us a sense of fulness so we tend to eat more of it.

In fact, most dieticians recommend 5 small meals a day every 3 hours to help reduce weight. What is wrong is to eat 3 heavy meals and also eat i between meals.Instead if we eat in smaller quantities and also sensible balanced meals 5 times a day it is far more healthier and also helpful in losing and maintaining weight..
