How did you get here?

I'd like to open up a friendly discussion on what people believe. I believe in being educated on all walks of life and keeping an open-mind. So my question is as a human being, "How did you get here?" (Not referring to "the birds and bees" discussion. Keep it clean, friendly, and educational.) Were you placed here by a all powerful God or some other supernatural entity? Do they guide your life for a purpose? If so, what purpose do you feel is being created for you? Were you placed here by science? Did the right ingredients (referring to atom's, molecules, etc.) of the natural world shift all forms of life into existence? If so, how were the ingredients created and possess the knowledge of creating life? Were you placed here by intelligent life (aliens, etc.)? I know a few giggles and jokes will arise from this one, but there are people out there that believe this. I'm curious, tell me your belief. Again, "How did you get here?". No matter what your answer is I will not criticize your belief. I honestly wanna know what you believe in.

With the research I have done lots of videos and documents say were are an alien experiment. We are 98 percent ape and 2 percent alien. A genetic experiment mixed alien dna with an apes to make humans. And we are here for agricultural purposes. Check out the Sumerian tablets if you get a chance they explain it all.

I actually find the Sumerian history very fascinating for many reasons. I was hoping someone would bring up their culture in this discussion. I don't know about being an alien experiment, but it is a fascinating theory to think on. Have you ever read any of the literature on the Sumerian culture by Samuel Noah Kramer? If not, check him out. Where did you come to the conclusion that we are here for agricultural purposes? Did you interpret this from the Sumerian Tablets? Or? I'm interested in how you came to this. Thank you for your insight! I look forward to hearing more from your perspective.

How did i get here? literally? well my parents brought me to earth and they took care of me, sent me to school to be educated until i'm old enough to take care of myself. i'm here because i want to make money on mylot and learn things from other members here. I don't know, probably God or an entity who wanted a good future for me? I have a purpose and i think i'm guided by something, and i'm doing relatively well. this is deep... our purpose in life? not really sure, probably to learn what it's like to suffer, we need to work hard and be good all the time so that we may be rewarded with success? that we may appreciate the good things in life better and treasure each moment we live in this earth? creating life? for humans and animals it's.... they multiply by mating, and plants grow out of nowhere sometimes and they are also cultivated and planted manually... I was born into this world by natural means, though if i was sent here by aliens, i wish they had made me rich and successful instantly. it's quite simple, my belief. not joking. i'm stating this as i see it.

Again, this discussion is not about conception, or why you are here on mylot. I was curious to see where others think we originated from. The beginning of humanity. So from your belief system, you believe that God or some kind of entity put you here for a purpose? How did you come to your conclusion? Does yours stem from religious practices you grew up in? Literature you may have read? Experiences in your life you might have had? You seem a little unsure about your belief (not being disrespectful, just a friendly observation). If you are, I encourage you to educate yourself, and develop your own thoughts on subjects like this. Don't just "go with the flow". I like to see people think for themselves and not just go with the majority. I'm very thankful for your response/insight. I look forward to hearing from you! P.S. Once more this discussion is not about mating or conception :)

okay. hehe. it's the first thing that came to mind when you posted the question so there. Well, at least that's how religion tells me to believe. I'm not sure i believe it. The beginning of humanity is a big mystery, doubt anyone could really prove their theories. sometimes, i think that we are all another kind of organism, we did not always look like we do now, we evolved and change through time. I have so little to share about this, haven't really thought about this, it's interesting to think about, soon i began to think it's pointless to know and we are better off thinking about the future and the present time. I'm very unsure about my beliefs, LOL. no offense taken. i will... someday when i feel like thinking about it, have other things on my mind right now, i doubt i would be able to educate myself on that sooner. thanks

I believe that the world did come into creation with a big explosion, but I also believe that such an explosion could only have been caused by God. In addition to this, I do strongly believe that God created the first human beings, and indeed all of the animals in the world. I think that the seven days as told in the bible are representative of periods of time rather than seven actual days as we might know them today. I respect everyone else's beliefs, however I honestly do think that my beliefs are the absolute truth.

My mom tells me all the time that our time is different from God's time. It's good to see you stand firm to your belief, and still respect others. That's the way I try to be. The truth is no one knows for certain the answer to life's origin. To believe is not having proof, but to trust and have confidence in someone (God,etc.) or some thing. So in my way of thinking it would be wrong to shut out anyone's ideas. Thank you for your insight!

I'd like to add a little more. How did you come to your conclusion? Does your belief come from your religion and how you were raised? Was their a moment in your life that brought you to your belief? As I have stated several times in this discussion, I'm a very curious person.

We evolved same as robots are evolving today on this planet, Stephen Hawkins has already declared that for our civilization to survive in this Universe we will have to go out of this planet. May be the civilization which created us here on this planet would have moved out of this planet for their survival and growth and in future we will also move out of this planet and who knows one day a robot will start a similar discussion on a similar website and may be one of the human from different planet will be thinking why didn't I put more intelligence in this robot so that at least it can realize that I had created it. Doesn't it make sense?

Well, the most common response would be we got here from being born. We were all born. I would say it was science that created us and why we are here. A fictional character in the sky is not tangible or reality. Aliens, although a possibility, is also pretty far fetched. Science is the best answer because it it makes sense. Science explains everything that is possible.
