Ok, that's hyperbole. Let me explain, there will be some discussion started about God, religion, the bible, etc and as often happens a naive atheist will make some rather cheesy points against religion and I begin to point out the logical errors they make or some factor they have failed to take into account and then I have to wince as some well meaning Christian makes some facile comment like, the Bible must be true because it says so in the bible or some other circular argument, which is of course going to convince no-one and makes me wince. Have you ever experienced the like?

I know and I believed that there is God, every God that we strongly believing is just the the same God and only one...
but the Holy bible i strongly believed to that it is made by humans only to imitate the kindness of God as close as possible,
why?
because if the Holy Bible is the word of God and it is made by God then why is it that the Christian People won't unite each other,
and why is it until now those Christian Religion Devotees still subdivided their faith into Jehovah's Witnesses, Roman Catholic, Born Again, Protestant, Mormon, etc...
is Jehovah's Witnesses God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the Vatican Roman Catholic God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the Mormon's God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the Born Again Christian God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the Seventh Day Adventist God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the Iglesia ni Christo God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the El Shaddai God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
is the Aglipay God is a true God and the other Christian God is wrong?
etc......
the are all children's of God Christians but why themselves keep saying that they are correct and those counterparts are wrong....
this simply shows in a trillion times that the Holy Bible is only made by Man and not by God....
if the Holy Bible is only made by God then there are only one Christian Religion exist....
or there are subdivisions of of Christian Faith Religion but 100 percent the same in principles and teachings and the only "Brand Name" of that Christian Religion differs....
note:
for example:
when a Born Again Christian argues with a Jehovah's Witnesses...
both of them relying on the same Holy Bible...
that Born Again read the passage on the same Holy Bible and challenged that bible passage to that Jehovah's Witnesses counterpart...
while that Jehovah's Witnesses also read a counter passage on that same Holy Bible and retaliates the Born Again Christian...
therefore, those same Holy Bible against the same Holy Bible

they both don't know that the Roman Catholic Christian are only listening to their argument and only standing behind them and that Roman Catholic said:
Both of the Jehovah's Witnesses and Born Again Christian's Religions and their Holy Bibles are wrong
because the only Roman Catholic Religion and Roman Catholic Holy Bible are the only true Religion and True Bible as per granted and allowed by true God....

my friend besides me also saying that if that Christian doesn't believe on that other Christian faith then expect a fires of hell for eternal damnation....

what a sadistic type of horror alarm more frightful compare to a chain letters....
Mantis i think we can say the bible was inspired by God but written and read by humans.Maybe that`s why we are fighting all the time.

Yes - we see it quite often on here. It's surprising that it is actually still happening & people are doing the same sorts of things over & over again. Once or twice is certainly tolerable, but to see the same sorts of thing over & over again hardly makes for a good discussion! An otherwise good & interesting discussion can be spoilt by said remarks which sometimes can give a wrong impression about Christians to everyone else. I think it's up to all of us to "up the standard", so to speak & contribute some really worthwhile, interesting & uplifting responses to discussions as well as comments. Well done - a timely reminder! I believe that as we are being paid for our responses, we should endeavour to put as much effort in as we are able to. This is of course not just limited to the type of discussions mentioned, but all of them.

Well I guess you under stand when some of us who know the Theory of Evolution Wince when Christians bring up that Evolution doesn't Cover how life began. Which I have to respond that they should look into Abiogenesis.
That is the wincing I do is when I hear a Christian who I am debating say "Well Evolution thinks we came from soup or something else which wouldn't be Evolution but Abiogenesis. I think if people are going to debate an issue they should know what the other side has an where it is coming from which a majority of Christians seem to not understand that Evolution isn't the all inclusive theory of life. There are a few different theories involved in how life came into being and how it evolved over time.
Also neither side is really going to convince the other ever.

Abiogenesis is all about how we went from non living material into living organisms with RNA and then DNA.
I forgot about the whole we came from monkeys which isn't want Evolution or science is saying.

But Abiogenesis is the beginning of evolution it`s not like these 2 notions have nothing in common.Life begins in the soup and it evolves.There are other theories about how the life started on earth but when someone tells you about the soup then that`s not so different.Abiogenesis or Panspermia or whatever other theory are the Old testament in the holy book of Evolution

well for me you can never pleased everybody but as i have experienced in my life we just have to live the bible in our lives. honestly many times i failed to do it but every time i succeed to apply the word of God in my life im not just pleasing God but pleasing other people as well...as a child of God if we truly want to convince people to accept Him i,you and all of us must live an example....honestly many times i failed but im trying to keep going and be victorious that the BIBLE: i will know it in my head, stow it in my heart, show it in my life and sow it in the world...and God and all our siblings here on earth will be blessed and pleased!!

of course not all of them are like that, but those sort of statements are quite ridiculous.
God exists because the bible says so. well in that case, every book based religion must be true also, because their holy books say their Gods exist too.
if you don't beleive in Christianity, you'll go to hell.
ooooh, big threat. if I don't beleive in a religion I'll go to a place I don't beleive in because I don't beleieve in that religion or it's afterlife. yeah, that really makes me want to ditch my deep and sincerely held spiritual path in favour of yours.
it's rather like telling a Christian if they don't die in battle, they won't get to go to Valhalla.
you get idiots with no grasp of basic logic in all religions though.

Is these christians you said is a religion? Anyway, this is according only on my own opinion because if we can tackle about religion, bible and beliefs its a very long discussions and no ending. We have our own beliefs and faith in God aside from those who non believers. We are referring always into our own opinion. Yes we listen to others thought and sayings but deep into ourselves we think over it and find some conclusions before we act and agree. As i have my own, i go for what i agree and faith, and respect others to what they are believing and practice, yes some are annoying coz it's not fit into our own thought, we have nothing to do with that coz we cannot change them. Yes i agree that sometimes they're..yeh
well lets accept the differences between,,,

I'm an atheist, and I've gotten that response the most from people like Jehovah Witnesses when I'm debating religion with them. What I like to do, is bring up the more evil parts of the bible, when they speak of it with such truth.... things like making blood sacrifices and killing animals at the church, or the use of slavery, or how homosexuality is a horrific sin, but its an equal sin to be eating shrimp, or how it shows that the earth is flat, and heaven is a dome overtop... I can't see how someone could use circular argument with a book that has so many falicies..

I'm talking about the direction of using animals as blood sacrifices at church, killing them and cutting them apart on the altar, spilling their blood, then burning them entirely. That's religious sacrifice, not food production. Today in free society, you can do what you want, leave what you want, and work where you want, its not the direction of slavery. If you work for a company, and have children, those children will not also become their slaves. A worker can not be bought and sold by employers for money. Its a very different time nowadays, and I'm saying, having complete faith in the bible is showing that these ideas are a better way to live then what we have, now.
And, I don't know of anything wrong in the origin of the species, nothing has been shown to dismiss the concept through the chapter "difficulties of theory", and the great part is, Science can change! There are so many new texts on evolution, which is what people study today. The original book is more like a historic read, although it still has many great facts, they've evolved much further in other texts, today. That's what makes science better then Religion... you can actually advance it!

Why was it wrong to kill the animals ? We are killing them today too.It was believed for some reason in many religions that the blood will clean the sin.
Or to use slavery.It was a part of our civilization.We think today those times were terrible but our grand grand....grand kids will look at the "free society " with the same eyes.
Some will say the slavery exists even today and even in the free society,but they don`t feed you and give you a bed anymore,you need to take care of yourself.
The rest is how God explained His creation to the primitive people.
If you want to read a book with more fallacies read the Origin of Species .

Again that was the society at that time.It`s easy to blame someone when you have a God but put yourself in his position.Ok you create a man for whatever reason (your plan is not important ) and you give him free will because the virtue without free will has zero value.And then you watch the society evolving.What can you do ? Think about it.
After i read for some hours and i`ve seen hundreds of "probably","maybe" and so on i realize what evolution is.Let`s build a theory against creationism,let`s get it approved by our gang and let`s start teaching it in schools as the truth.
Like this guy : "So, the tongues of their pollinators were probably already at an optimal length for other flowers when the columbines came on the scene. The plants apparently had to evolve rapidly to fit the tongues, but the tongues probably evolved very little"
They don`t even have imagination.At least for me it doesn`t work.When i read something like "Primitive angiosperms probably took advantage of this bee and wasp behavior by developing various colors of flowers as a pollination strategy to compete with gymnosperms" i get lost because such hypothesis doesn`t have even the most elementary logic.It is more illogical than to believe in God.

I think one has to be very wise when trying to convince another person on one's own beliefs or even opinions. I mean I can never take a person that proves a book with the same book seriously because that wont be a proof at all but just saying the same first statement.

When they say god exists he created this and this and this and this , when this have no logical explanation and there is one logical (biology , alchemy , and the rest of them , that explain how things are made and where they come from ) How can i believe blindly in to just : well you are not right because god is all around us in everything and everything is made by god ... ye great explanation ... hey fairy land come down to earth ...
No i'm not forcing my opinion , but them trying to force some fairy tails , next to impossible , well it is hell of annoying .

I think those who believe in God and those who do not do so blindly. The difference, those who believe follow their religious theories while those who do not believe in god follow the evolutionary scientists theory, simple. There are as much debate going on in the unbelievers circle as there are in the believers circle. Theories are changed or modified from time to time. When they see that a theory is wrong ,they simply modify it and continue the "we can prove without any doubt that their is no god" campaign.

Of course yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the statement above is more than an opinion, rather it is an argument.
The bible is true - now that is an opinion
The bible is true because the bible says it is true - now that is an opinion with a reason, and that is an argument but it is a bad argument, since it is circular. Perhaps it says something to believers but sounds silly to any unbeliever, even ludicrous

For me.. no need to argue whether the Bible is true or not.. if you believe it, so be it... I believe in the Holy Bible is the word of God.. I'm a Christian believer and the Bible doesn't taught to provoke argument or sometimes lead to anger... It just says "Love one another" if someone doesn't believe what your opinion is... so respect that person... I just so annoy to those Christians who fight and argue with their faith that actually they're depending the same points in different thought.. just spread LOVE.. for God is LOVE and the source of LOVE... God bless...
