What do you do when there is no internet connection?

Most of us loves browsing the internet, spending time with social networking sites and of course spending time with posting at our favorite discussion forum, mylot. But what if one day, when you turned on your computer and opened your browser there's no internet connection. You have reset your modem and still its's not help. You called your service provider but they can't give you a concrete answer about the problem. What would you do for the whole day? This happened to me several times already, no internet connection for different reasons and sometimes I would just go out and go to the internet shop and rent for a while, maybe one hour or two just to do the important things that I need to do. How about you, care to share your stories?

This has happen to me before too. It really makes me angry. If there is something that absolutely needs to be done online i have had to visit the library to use the computer. if there is not something that HAS to be done i will just play sims3 for awhile till i get internet back again.

I have connection on monthly basis and if same situation happened to me i can stand to it or go out. Thats why i ended up buying prepaid broadband connection. So that when things happen like that i can still spend time with the net still. Ü

I think the day my internet connection is down all the clothes in my cupboard would be ironed. The mess in the house would be cleared up. I would finish reading the magazines that are on my table. And may be would spend some extra time in the kitchen cooking something different. Sitting at the computer just now and looking around this is what I think I need to do.

That is a very good question. Usually, I would have no internet connection whenever I fail to pay my monthly internet bill. What I do when I have no internet at home is I would do numerous things. Either productive or not. Like for example, if I am in the mood I would clean our house. As in the entire house. I love cleaning. I love to see the sweat in my body. Another thing I would do is I will watch a movie or television shows. If I am feeling like a good and responsible student, I would review all the lessons we had in schools and study it.

IF there's no internet connection, i can always rely on my phone for 3G.. haha Since there are coverage all over my country, it's a not serious problem for me when my phone allows me to go online as well.. haha Besides, being online is not a must for me, so it doesn't bother me much. I won't pay for internet cafes since it's not urgent and there's no privacy in internet cafe.. haha

I generally will read my Kindle, I have plenty of books to keep me going for 10 years or more lol. I may write some of my books that I'm working on, and IF I had to get onto the internet for an important reason, I can always go to my work, let myself in, and do what I need to do. If that fails, there are plenty of places that have free WiFi. Generally the only thing I have that I have to have access for is college.

If I don't have an internet connection, I just go outside and chat with my cousin and other friends. Right now, I don't actually have my own internet connection and I am planning to have next month.

I have a set of tool for watching. In my room, there is a TV and DVD player. I would played my lovely movies if I had no internet connection. I then looked for other things, cook my favorite food and chat with some friend about the things that is happening now and then.

I live rural and mountanious and there are times we are without power and hook up a generator but we cannot use the internet much when we do as we need it for freezer, hot water heater etc. It might be a few hours or 4-9 days before we get power. I have crossword puzzles, coloring books and crayons, lots of books to read, Also have propane range for cooking. I can cook and bake things. I read, and color, do puzzles. At times if hubby or grandkids here we also have a lot of board games and card games we can play. We read aloud at times and we tell stories. We make use of the day light hours by doing outdoor things needing done. Sometimes we take a camera and go for a walk and of course if there is snow the kids love sledding and building snow people. We also sew and make craft items for gifts and to sell. There is also the old fashioned letter writing and card sending that can be done. Life without the internet is not all that bad and there is lots to do. We usually have a portable battery radio for music and news and we sing or play the piano as well.

If I didn't have the internet, I'd just do some activities, such as reading a book, playing games, watching movies, going for a walk, and things like that. Those are just some of the things that I'd probably be doing, if I didn't have the internet. If I really wanted to use the internet, I'd simply go to the library or some place where they had internet access that I could use.

Intermittent connection failure! I really do upset if I can't log on my email account and browse the internet. But well, if that's the case, it'll be a right choice to have no choice than to rest with my kids *lol. We'll be playing maybe, watching tv or maybe dvd... biking outside. The problem with me is, I choose to browse than to rest after doing routines at home. If no internet connection, for sure I have my time to bond with my kids at home *lol... fulltime!

Yes, this happens to me too, but usually I have my brother fix the issue because he is quite knowledgeable about networks and this is his type of work. But when I do encounter such problems and my brother is away to rescue and salvage my connection, I do look for internet shops and cafes if I had an important matter to do in the internet. But if the things I will do online is not important and not urgent, I will just shift my attention to some things that I have been neglecting before like cleaning my room, doing the garden or even reading books. But most likely, I will practice my shadowing in tennis or just play my sports activities.

Then I will wait, complain since I pay a lot and it seems to be a never ending story with my connection. It is already since 8 years. I will find it a problem if I can't work or do baning etc but won't feel lost because I have nothing to do. I am always busy and if I really need internet urgently I will find a connection even at Mc Donalds or so.
