i received a notice today that my land line is subject to disconnect when i never settle my one month balance, but i wonder because i already paid it last two days ago then they are sending me a notice of disconnection and after 5 days if i dont pay it they will cut my outgoing,so i have to confirm it to the hotline and tell that i already settled it with full payment.
have you encounter this scenario?do you panic?what did you do?will you complain them??

in india, for lic bills and electricity bill,i have experienced like this and became panic and complained them by going to their office directly. they have seen their fault and have told sorry and will tell they have some problems, like in computer or any of clerks mistake by not entering details in computer. if we have receipt ,they cant force us or can create any problem for us.

I will not complain immediately. I will check first its billing period and cut off date.It is the best way so that my effort in complaining to their costumer service personnel will be deter or avoided. So far, I did not yet experienced that because I'm only renting my room.lol

It's normal.. happened to me 4-5 times.. specially in telephone bill or mobile bill it happens.. because mostly it doesn't give you transaction failure report.. it's successful from our bank but not credited to that side.. so when we call for complain, they check bank details and verify our payment.. it gets solved mostly within 2 days..

Yes i have but i didn't panic because sometimes that notice comes late. In fact you can see at the bottom of the page that you can ignore it if payment has been settled.
Try calling that company and tell them you have paid giving the information on your receipt and everything will be ok.

I have been through things like that before. What I found out is that when the bill is paid late and you wind up getting a notice like that, just means that that letter was already made up and mailed out before they received the payment. But it is a good idea to call them up and explain that the bill was paid. If you paid by check, give then the check number. Or if you have a cancelled check, send them a copy proving that it was paid. Now if you paid online, just print out the confirmation email.

The disconnect notice probably got crossed in the mail with your payment. I would call the phone company to make sure your payment was received. You did get a confirmation number correct? I would not panic, if you can talk to a live person and get it figured out then you'll be just fine.

I have the same experience with my internet bill. I have paid the bill but they counted it double for the next month and they claimed that I haven't paid the last month bill. Of course I did fell shocked and a little bit panic but since I kept the paid receipt as evidence so I don't have to worry. I have checked it when I paid the bill for the current month and the system said I paid. Sometimes it is the company fault as they haven't update the payment bill. Just keep the paid receipt with you for just in case if it happen for the second time.(^^)

We encountered the same thing on our electric bills. We didn't mind it as we know that we are already paid and our electric has never been cut too A friend of mine experienced their Internet got cut and when she phoned her ISP. They told her she has not paid yet when in fact she is paying every month.

i had the same situation last month. First step I did was to call the hotline and complain at the top of my lungs :)..And the customer assistant said that they will look into matter and fix it as soon as possible. As a regular client, I think we also have right to lecture (seems harsh word) them of the system they are following. In summary, they have to fully furnish their system before launching it to the buying people.
