Siberian Cats

I have recently adopted a cat of Siberian breed.
From what I read, it is a natural breed from Russia (it is, in fact the national cat of Russia) which makes me proud to be its owner. :)
Have you heard about them? Or do you own them?
Do they require much attention as some other cat breeds? Any tips on petting cat of this breed?

I think my cat is part siberian, but I'm not sure. He has hairy toes, is as big as a Main Koon, ( in other words, he's a big cat!) and has a thick, mid longish coat, with large claws, too. Other than making sure you brush their coat every once in awhile, I don't think they're any different than other cats. They're supposed to do better in the cold than other cats, hence the hairy toes, lol! They are beautiful cats. Did you adopt it from the animal shelter, or from a breeder? My cat came from a family friend. My other cat came from the shelter, and she's a real sweetie, and so comical, some of the things she does, makes me and my husband laugh! She's a tuxedo.

I adopted him from a breeder here in Moscow.
It's true what you said, they have hairy toes, well-rounded paws, semi-longhair and you have to differentiate them from other quite similar breeds such as Maine Koon (apparently myLot won't let me use the correct spelling..pfft), Norwegian Forest or Abyssinian.
They are really active cats and don't require much attention like other cat breeds.
How often do you bathe your cat?
p/s: My previous cat was a tuxedo too!) I really like their fur it's shiny n soft.

I don't bathe him very often, but he's good about it. If you start them from kittens clipping their toenails and bathing them, they don't fight you. Yes, Juanita (the tuxedo cat) has very soft fur, just like a rabbit's. I put the christmas tree up yesterday, and already they're fighting over the space to sleep underneath it, lol! Weird cats, they did that last year too. Yeah, My Lot's software made me change the spelling of Maine Koon, too!

I love cats,but I do not know the siberian cat breed.I have a black & white colors of the cat,and very cute.When winter came,she made her mother gave birth to two kittens.

By the way how could she make her mother give birth to two kittens ?
