This is a genuine true story of a man and woman that met during the Holocaust in a work camp and managed to slip small notes and letters to each other while they were in the camp. Its an amazing story and shows a lot of real documented items from them. They tell their own story the gentleman is 93 and his wife of 60 years was 83 when the film was made. If you ever believe in true romance, here is one story of how even in the worst of times and conditions there was a ray of hope and sunshine for them. It is being shown on netflix and well worth watching once. Would love to hear what others thought of this movie if you saw it.

This story I have not heard of. But, I have heard of other love stories where they met back in the states many years after they left the concentration camps. This story you have seen sounds wonderful. Have a nice day.

I copied the link and will watch one of these days with my hubby. He likes anything to do with the wars. I will let you know how we like it. It is wonderful to know after such a horrible youth that they found a long and lasting love. Thank you.

Did you get my link under the other person that responded to the discussion? While it was a hard movie because of the concentration camp it was really an awesome ending. Can you imagine 60 years of wedded bliss after such a horrible youth?

Hi marie: I would definetly enjoyed watcghing a film like this which would show me how love could overcome really hard situations and how, when everything to be lost and all you can see is hate, love and hope could come to us. It definetly sounds like a nice movie. ALVARO
