Opposite gender mylotter.

Hi everyone.... Its true that to cope/relate with an opposite gender is very hard in some situation and if s/he is a stranger. Comparing to real world, in virtual world its more hard. In mylot, we have friends from both genders and some faces are hidden from both genders. So in interactions or chattings or sharing on discussions many issues can be created. Like positives.... endearment, family like relationship or someone in love with a mylotter. Like negatives... misunderstanding, conflict, misbehaves..... So, share your most memorable experience that you had with an opposite gender's mylotter? Thanks in advance. Have a nice time.

So many...I used to put fictitious avatar here before and you can imagine how I get haunted by people. One sweet pm I got was from a person who asked me 'how the avatar reflect you'? I didn't want to fool others anymore with a picture of a sweet face that totally doesn't reflect the real me. So now I changed my avatar to something neutral. I know it is not only pictures that can attract or distract the opposite gender but the simplicity of words can hold breath for those who are mesmerized by what they read. Since mylot is a social site we bound to meet and find people that can sometimes trigger the adrenalin rush in us but regardless of the distance we are all only a screen away for each other and there are always entertaining incidents that grip our presence here.

If i am not wrong, you had your face as an avatar earlier and you worn glasses. Yes, our avatar( if we have real face) then may be someone gets interested. ( dont know the intention of that mylotter who asked you. ). About fake picture, one incident i can remember where a female used a pic of an Indian celebrity and when someone appreciated her, she politely replied "thanks".

there was one mylot member who was very frequent till some 7 months. Now i dont see her online, may be busy with her work. Her id was Dalia. We fought very frequently mostly because of my silly behavior.I would always find fault with her comments and she used to retort.I miss the 'big fight'

Someone in love with a mylotter?? Wow, I never heard that before. Who's that member??? Is it you brother??(^^) The negatives always happen and so the positives. Others always mistaken me but I don't think I have any conflict in knowing their gender or having conflict about their discussions. I am a good girl..you know that~(^^)

I haven't been here long enough to know and get close to people. But i would say, recently, i met this mylotter who i think is male and he believes strongly in his ideas and confident of his knowledge on certain subjects. I think it was a strong trait, but it's also a little scary since he's prone to emotional outburst even in discussions. I'm comfortable with most mylotters, except maybe for those who try to be mean to me. Good thing i just ignore them

Hi,well, as in reality, there are both males and females online. Because of the difference of their gender, men and women have so many difference in thinking and solving problems, that is the reason men often say that women are not understandable, while women often complain that men are not to be reasoned with. For my experience in mylotting. It is ok to communicate with opposite genders in most time. Actually, i have some friends who are men, and they can give me the best answers when i have some questions. But i did met some "bad men", by saying "bad" , i mean i just can't their way of thinking and talking. One of them raise a post with the content about changing wives with others. I just could not understand why he raised so low quality post, does he just take women as things or men's belongings? It is completely an insult to all women. I don't like this kind of men.
@shibham (16977)

Nope, as a man i never say that women are not understandable. In real, i have more female friends here in mylot than male and i have no complain with them as they are too close to me. Its true that perverted minds are available in everywhere. Just ignore them and its my advice. If you are overwhelming with them, you will lose your appetite here. Have a nice time.

Yeah agree with april.. That is why it is very important to me to know one's gender. It is the limit and boundaries even if in a virtual site. maybe for other people they don't care about it since it is online things but I am sure the way we talk to different genders is not the same. There is still some limit in there~(^^)

I don't really have problems with opposite genders here at mylot. I don't think the gender is even an issue here. I believe it is not actually the gender but the character of the person which makes him or her a difficult person to deal with and that goes true both in the cyber and real world.

I have several mylotters with whom I share a friendship that goes beyond the words of a post. I have only such friend who is not a woman. He is a wonderful man from India and through him I have met his wife and I cherish the pictures of his family that he has sent me. I am starting to learn a bit about India and the only thing I can grasp is the amount of my lack of knowledge. But, thanks to him and to other indian friends, I´m trying my best.

Hi Mamu No Positives... No Negatives... Mylot is not an battery. It is family for me... I love all and hate none... take everything as I should... No Complaints, No Worries... No Brains... No Hearts... No Emotions... Hmmm... Learning My Lessons Regularly But yes finding me at a helpless situation unable to help a friend... is painful and I still feel concerned about a few here...

For me, it's more like being friends with them. I am not sure whether the faces I see here are their own or not. Sometimes I get into conflict too but nothing big as we made it clear we are not arguing or anything. Some even mistaken me as a guy before. Sometimes I don't correct other people when they call me a guy, I just let them think I am a guy.

Hai Shibham, I was really very confusing how to identify the gender with the mylotter present name.At the same time I think it is well and good if we know the gender we will not have the freedom for our interaction smoothly. The mylot's idea is really good.

Hi devi.... Its so simple. Just you need to interact a lot with members here. I am very sure with the genders of my closed friends here. If you visit a profile, then some members have cited the gender of them. Here, i think you are a female, if i am not that wrong. Have a nice time.

Still now I doesn't face any conflict or misbehaves from mylotters having different genders. Here in mylot, gender doesn't play any role. What do you think ? Here in mylot I have many wonderful moments with good friends in mylot. I enjoy the time with them. What about you ?

hi shibham oh yes when I first started on mylot a lot of people thought hatley was a guy and I had to carefully tell them no that is just my married last name I am a Mrs. Hatley. so now i put my gender 'on my profile so people can check if they will. I had this one person who said" hi grandpa you are doing pretty well for an old geezeer and I did not know whether to laugh or cry as a geezer is a name for an older man which I still am not and its not a very polite name for an elderly man, let alone a woman. so I told him i did not like to be called grandpa as I am a woman and I am not an old geezer either. I am a woman senior citizen. we do not like names like geezer, elderly people especially elderly women dislike derogatory names for elderly people. we also have feelings as you may know.I got back the sweetest apology from this young man and told him I did really accept it and thought he was most kind too.

Hi hatley... same condition occurred here too. A female mylotter asked me some feminine issues thinking me as a female but the experience that i never forget that once i addressed a mylotter as "didi" ( elder sister) saying that she is 10 years elder than me. It made her offended and did not come to for a long time. From that time, i never say any female about her age.... Have a nice time.

Hello shibham, I agree with you that relating with other people especially the opposite gender is quite hard. it can happen online and offline, but for me it would be more difficult to deal with it offline. So far, I haven't experience any conflicts or misunderstanding from any of the mylot members when it comes to gender. I just remember a post on another site, that he always thought I was a boy since my avatar is a boy, and that he just found out on the other site that I was actually a girl. I didn't mind it all because of the avatar. I just laughed on what was posted. Have a great day ahead of you and have fun mylotting!

Hi red... Yes, in real life its more hard than virtual world as we cant interact with her face to face if webcam does not come to consideration. Oh... you were misjudged and it happened to me too. A female mylotter asked me about my menstruation thinking that i am a female. Its true that at that time i had a neutral avatar but my gender was cited on my account. She did that without visiting my profile. Have a nice time.

I find that on the Internet, we let our heart flood the screen. We are sometimes ourselves. This is what I see in others. We become whom we want to be behind the computer screen. For some reason we can't do that in real life. We can be attractive, witty, and other things that we might not feel comfortable being out there. I've met quite a few people on the Internet and myLot who give me warm feelings. Sadly, I had one myLot female friend who I got along with and who flirted with me. Either I let her know my ethnicity or she didn't like my writing content (I showed her a site with one of my horror stories on it), but whatever it was, she deleted me as a friend.

Hi rob.. Its true that in virtual world, its not so hard to communicate with a female than real world. But some times we misjudge a member regarding the gender. It have not happened to me but i was treated once. It was a funny experience that i never forget. In your case, it seems that misunderstanding took place. Have a nice time.
