The only World War 2 movie I can remember is Pearl Harbor. It's actually my favorite movie. I cried while watching it.

I saw a while ago a wonderful serial ay History Channel about WWII. It even had newsreels of that time and maps showing how the war went on. I´m sure that can be bought online.

There are literally hundreds of world war 2 movies, so your daughter should be spoiled for choice. My personal favourites are The battle of Britain and Heroes of Telemark, but there really are so many as it was obviously a huge event for the whole planet. Perhaps do a search on Amazon to get some ideas - they are usually very cheap to buy as many of them are obviously very old.

First of all, she could read a book about WW2. Second, it would be a complete waste of time anyway because WW2 is always presented in the "Hollywood version", where the good Americans kicked the evil Germans' back sides. There will be no mention what-so-ever about the consequences of the 2 nuclear bombs, about the fact that they were no necessary and so on and so forth.
Better rent her a Disney movie, at least Disney stories ARE supposed to be fairy tales.
