I know there are a lot of people on here who for one reason or other stay at home most of the day and are looking for ways to make money. You have probably tried all the internet oportunities, won at some, lost at some.
But have you tried non-internet related work you can do from home? Here isan idea you could use and if you have more, please share.
1. Laundry and ironing. A friend of mine in the UK told me his neighbour who is a single mother comes over to his house once a week to pick up his laundry basket. The next day she brings it over to him nicely folded and ironed. You could check with a local laundromat to see what they would charge for washing and/or washing and ironing and set your prices at least 25% lower. You could advertise this service in your local grocery store, church, library or anywhere you are allowed to hang your ad. You could either offer to pic up or the customers bring their laundry to you. This could add a few dollars to your regular income. I wish someone offered this service in my neighbourhood. I would be their first client.

Good point friend. That is now a quite common service in the UK. Another good one is where you set up a diaper laundering service. You supply all the diapers and you need a good washing machine. With so many people now using non-disposable nappies, it means they have to wash them again. A lot of people dont like that. So they contact a rent-a-nappy company. They supply you with one week's worth of re-usable nappies. You rinse them out and put them in a special container and once a week they get picked up and new ones brought to your door. They increase in size as the baby gets bigger and it is not as expensive as buying disposables, not to say anything about the environment. I thought it was a brilliant idea - just a pity I dont have any babies around to try the system.

Yes, that is a great idea! I'm not so sure about the benefits for the environment. I read something a long time ago where disposable diaper manufacturers were protesting the talk about how bad their diapers were for the environment. They proved that the reusable ones were actually worse. They took into count the process of making the reusable diapers, all the hot water that is used to wash them, the detergent used and things like that. So I guess they have equal effect on the environment.

Good point. I suppose I just love to see babies in 'real' nappies - probably my age coming out. However, it will save the parents some money I guess, and it provides a job for those who don't mind washing and airing them.

I used the re-usable ones the first 2 months after my son was born. Maybe I'm old fashioned but someone told be they were better for the babies sensitive skin. You have to change them more often though and those disposable diapers are amazing. Have you ever tried to see how much liquid they can actually hold? I can't remember how many liters we poured on one diaper before it started leaking. (Not that you should wait to change the baby until the diaper has absorbed liters/gallons of liquid lol)

Good ideas and suggestions in this discussion. My mom did ironing when I was a youngster. Unfortunately, I work outside of my home and really need a second job, at least for awhile. I do think this is a valuable discussion.

Ironing is something a lot of people hate or don't have time for. Personally I would be willing to pay someone a lot of money to do my laundry and ironing. Wish my neighbours read this discussion lol.
Why dont' you get some laundry/ironing work at home? You could log into myLot and make a few cents here while your washer does a part of the work for you.
