Here in Melbourne Australia we seem to be having trouble with our big Ferris Wheel, firstly it was finished and then it buckled under the mega hot weather then they were hoping to have it finished by Christmas then something fell off, I have been so looking forward to taking phots from this wonderful thing. I know some countries have even bigger ones, has anyone been on one of these attractions.

Yes after this one that has broken down twice I think I might be a bit scared too when and if they ever finish it.

You too? Our Royal Show ferris wheel had heaps of problems. People actually got stuck at the top of the wheel when it broke down! I've never been on it, but managed to go on the one at the beach here in Semaphore. They are a good photo-taking opportunity! People pay big money for shots like that. Have you been on others? We went on a Gondola ride in New Zealand, which was also a good photo opportunity, or it would have been. The views are amazing. You get a bird's eye view, much closer than a plane or helicopter & there are pauses sometimes if you ask for them.

I don't know that there is such a big ferris wheels in Melbourne. It must be a landmark in Melbourne soon. Although it will be great if this big ferris wheels can be finished in Christmas. But I think that the quality is still the most important and it is worthy to wait. It is also nice that it can be finixhed in the New Year. Right?:) I love China

I was on a Ferris wheel when I was younger. We had one at our Local County fair. I loved it. You could see for a long distance. But, I have never been on a Huge one. Maybe someday. I hope they get your ferris wheel fixed or find out why it is falling apart. I look forward to seeing some of those pictures. Have a nice day.

I have seen that Ferris Wheel from the Bolte Bridge. I remember when it was being built, my mum telling me that there were issues with it back then. These big wheels seem to be all the rage these days. After the one in London opened, we now have one in Brisbane and a smaller one in the streets of Surfers Paradise, here on the Gold Coast. I don't understand the interest in them really.

I have not been on any of those. It sounds to me like they need an all new one since that one is not holding up well. That is very dangerous.

Uh, with that much trouble are you really sure you want to get on that thing? I admit the view would be spectacular, but the landing might be a problem.
