I only needed 40 cents and I didn't get it! I'm blaming my ISP.

I was so happy last month for reaching the minimum payout in time. And because I am kinda new and is still trying whether I can earn more by being active here, I made a quota for myself of reaching 20 dollars. And if that is possible for me, I will try to have at least $20 every month. Unfortunately, my ISP has been very consistent of disconnecting my connection everyday for 10-15 minutes or more, I can't count how many times in a day but I can tell you it can reach about a fifty times a day or even more... And, last week I have to complain for having no connection at all. We are still under the lock-in period and can't just switch to another ISP otherwise we have to pay a big amount. Despite being annoyed with the poor service of my ISP, I am still happy because I am certain that it's really possible to earn that. I am sure some people can earn even more than that. But I can't Even if I push myself so hard, I am sure I can only earn $20 in a month.

You don't have to worry for the money you earned here, even if you didn't reach the payout for November. Your money will be here until the next payout date and you'll cash out more for December. Of course, the money will arrive a little late, after the winter holiday (with everything that they mean for you) but you don't loose anything. I don't think I could make 20$ in a month here, how do you think you could earn this much in a single month?

Hello Octav1, Thanks for reminding me. And you're right it will be carried over to the next month if I did not earn the minimum monthly cashout. Yes that is possible friend, I nearly reach it.. but too bad my connection isn't so good.

I need to wait until April, by that time we can freely switch to another ISP. If we can't wait and requested for termination, then we have to pay a big amount.

40 cents more to go, that means you've got $19.6 from myLot this month? That's great amount of money :D. Even it's hard for some members, including me, to reach $10 every month :). Even I have a relative-good internet connection here, it's still hard for me to reach $10 every month :). I can't be on myLot all the time... You must be really active then..

Hi varier, Yup that is for one month. Some even says they can earn more than that. And when I say more means, really great amount than $20 dollars. I would like to think that I am active. 'Though I have minimized it a little because there were other online stuff I also do aside from mylot. But myLot has been taking most of my attention so that is why maybe I was able to reach more than the minimum.

Hello enelym, First, congratulations for reaching the minimum payout last month because unlike you, I didn’t reach it, I still need around $2 to reach it and I don’t blame anybody else except me because I haven’t been active in the first two weeks of November. I think the ISP is the main problem when we are not able to reach our goal at the right time especially if we are doing a job or tasks online. Because if we have enough time and the ISP is not reliable, we won’t be able to maximize our time. But if the ISP is so reliable, then we can simply manage our time to be able to reach our goal. My ISP is not reliable too. Just like now, I have finished responding to another topic and until now the page is still loading while I am typing my response to this topic. Sometimes, it would end up not being posted so I have to retype my whole response again. Arrghh.. I hate that when it happens. I do believe that you can achieve $20 in one month as long as you stay active here and keep on posting lengthy and descriptive discussions and responses. I would like to reach that amount this month too, that’s why I would be active this month and try to post as many as possible in one day.

Five days of internet connection that would be bad. You should have called the customer service. When I experience just one day of no connection, I would dial their number already especially if I know I am updated with the payment

Oh I have remembered that happened twice, the 2nd week of October and then again by the end of October with 5 days of no connection. I am calling everyday but I can't do nothing.. because when I reported the problem, they said everything should be done in schedule. And we have to wait 5 days. That's really hard. I even asked them to escalate the problem and said they will, but still it took 5 days before someone comes here to fix it. And that call was made only 1 or 2 hour of no connection. Thankfully last week, when I called them up to report it one hour after I got fed up of waiting. They schedule the checking the next day, and someone came the next day in the afternoon.

Hello red Thanks. Yes that is the main problem when we are trying to reach the goal and we have a lot of time here. I know you can reach the minimum too and even more than that coz I've been seeing you so active here too. The only problem sometimes, other than the ISP, is when we need to do something offline. Like house chores and going out which I normally do once or twice a week. But sometimes we can still reach the minimum by spending at least 2 hours here. But of course, two weeks of not being active will be difficult Well let us see if we both can reach that. Maybe after reaching that 20 dollars, I would not care at all just as long as I reach the minimum monthly... But I hope my ISP won't give such issues. I hate that 5 days of losing my connection last month.

I have the same problem too. My internet connection goes on and off. I've reported it to our service provider and they had checked and repaired some faulty wiring, but after a week, it's back to the on and off thing again. They say that one possible cause is that the phone lines (I'm using DSL) is too close to the main electricity line and that affects the internet connection. But just the same, I don't think I'd be able to go beyond $20 a month. It's hard for me to reach $10 as it is due to my busy schedule. But it's great that you almost reached your 20-dollar mark, even though you fell 40 cents off. Not all of us can do that by just posting and commenting on topics :)

Hi beamer We also requested to check the wiring, and they took note of it when the tech guy came here. But they did nothing. They just keep calling us and asking how the connection is. I even received a machine-generated call from my ISP saying that the schedule will be moved on an indefinite day. It took a month already when we found out that the job order requested has been already treated as closed and resolved. We're using broadband... but yours is DSL, I thought DSL is much better than broadband?

Haha, I'm terrible with computers and stuff :) I'm not really sure which one is better. My brother said broadband is faster than DSL. Problem is it isn't available yet in our area. But I guess with regards to service, we're on the same boat. Requesting them to have your connection checked is really a pain. I had to deal with two rescheduling before they finally went to our house :(

But we actually wanted to shift to a DSL on another ISP once the lock-in period is over. Now, I'm having second thoughts. What I know is that DSL is way better than broadband. That is why my mom's friend whose having a DSL connection is telling us to switch to DSL. Ohh yeah it's a headache! No one in the family wants to speak to a tech support and they're always asking me to report the problem so I am having all the stress and headache when connection is bad.

Let's bomb the ISP tower so you can switch to another ISP I also have same problem before, but, i keep calling the company and asks for the canopy check. Each time I got slow signal, I did call the company and for the 3rd time...the technician transferred me to another home base and my problem was resolved. Now I am having a good signal for many years.

Wow! So you reached you can easily reach $20 in here. I used to be able to reach it also every month, however, the past few months for me is kind of busy. I can't stay active in myLot that is why I haven't reach my payout for the two straight previous months already. Good thing that now, I am sure to receive my payout come January as I already reached the minimum payout just yesterday. Now I am trying to just add on to that payout. I feel for you. It really is frustrating to have an erratic internet connection when you are doing something online. I really get pissed of with internet providers here in my country as their service are really slow and unreliable. Just try to follow up every now and then regarding the status of your internet connection so that they will eventually look into it. There's not much anything that you can do about it.

Hi AgentGulaman! Congrats for reaching out your payout! It's really hard to reach it when there's internet disturbances. And we can't do anything about it but wait for them to fix it. I try to be active here but when connection's acting strange then I just stay away from it now and just watch some movies, that way I won't get frustrated.

hi enelym The ISP issue sounds so very familiar to me. For me, I have no other targets than a simple one - make anyone smile a day anywhere and why not at MyLot. If I accomplish that it is my accomplishment and the reward. I dont bother about the reaching of payouts as I know, with the Internet connectivity I have, MyLot might have to triple its rates for me to reach payouts every month and I dont want to be that famous where anyone goes out of the way for my sake

What you have been through occurs to me as well. I am working hard to reach the minimum payment and I have two months reached the minimum pay out. I also felt a lot of connection disturbances for quite sometime and lost many task that hadn't been successfully uploaded. I had to rewrite the discussion and I must have been through the dismissal again. I never gave up trying to make or create good quality discussion and question and always am hoped that my trial would not take long to get it updated and my trial deserved even just cent payment. I feel to do this all are challenging.

It's really annoying when the discussions we try to post would not appear there when the connection is on and off. Hey since you already crossed 500, you can writing it first on word document so let the connection be like that and once its back you can easily paste it there. I normally do that if the connection is intermittent during the time I'm online and I have not forgotten what topic I have in mind. I do hope your ISP can sort out your connection problem so we can happily participate here.

Hi foster, First let me welcome you back to myLot I've checked your profile and noticed that you have not been active much maybe it was because you're busy with your offline work. And that is just fine, what's important is you keep coming back here When we first joined any site, we normally don't engage ourselves much especially if we have less time or when we forget our passwords. This usually happens to me. Sometimes I have been a member for one year and I only remembers it when I am not so busy. Yes, try to review the guidelines again and hope to see you a lot here.

Hello enelym001, I don't face ISP issues but why i can't reach payout is due to the time scarcity. These days i don't get enough time to be active here otherwise its not tough to reach payout every month here or to get $20/month and people are doing it. No doubt slow connectivity is an issue with most of the internet users and it is really irritating when it happens.

Bwahaha! Now I know why you recently gave me a comment in that old discussion you started a month ago about ISPs. It seems you're now really in the lookout for a replacement for your current provider. Anyway, one of the best ways to earn $20 a month at mylot is to have as many ACTIVE referrals under you. Unless you will really get lucky about getting tasks here that pays handsomely, you will have to work yourself out to earn a monthly double-figure income at mylot. I do not plan to cashout my mylot earnings for now as I want to reinvest it here. My earnings here will be used to fund my tasks so I can generate more money in my other sites. Check out the tasks section. I think that's what most long-term members here do.

Well, you can just tweak the settings in the notifications so you can be alerted when new comments are made in your discussions. That way, you don't need to re-visit those old stuffs every now and then. An alert is all you need. Oh, I want to have many referrals. If you don't mind, I will PM my referral link to you so you can use it instead of your own referral link in your Couch Potato website hehehe!

Yes I was checking if there were any follow-up comments. I was so busy with participating on other discussions that I forgot to check back and reply to people who have given their replies on my own discussions. And was really eager to shift to another ISP, sadly we need to wait until April next year. Well about the earning thing here, well I don't wanna really depend on referrals. As much as possible now, I wanted to have at least a few referrals. I have some (less than 5 only) but only one is active - they're all my friends. And since I am enjoying the discussions here and the having fun with those few friendly people I know here, I think I'll be happy whatever the income would be. The only goal for me is just at least reaching that $20 every month or at least the minimum.

I think most of the members suffer bad internet connection, outage and slow connection etc but the degree of difficulty may vary. I suffer the same when away from home-say like working in between schedule in office, working from another place etc. At home, the connection now appears a bit stable but I'll have to be awake a long way through nights.. The most frustrating thing I face repeatedly, day after day is that after composing the post or comment and hitting submit, post comment or post response, the whole thing done after such hard work simply disappears.. When I somehow retrieve it and resubmit, I end up seeing double posts. This has become a regular drill daily. By the way, don't you have data card service for internet? I know, you can't switch ISP now, even if data cards are available but just asking because, they can be trusted even if slower.
@enelym001 (8322)
• Philippines
2 Dec 11
Yes I have seen some of your discussions that has been posted twice. I think I've seen some members having double posts too. I once had a problem having my response doubled too. And that is because of the poor connection we're having. I am not sure about the data card that you're saying, but I think that is the same one as USB stick that we have here. That one can be loaded with any amount and you can access the internet too. We have two of that before, but we sold it already as I am not satisfied with it. Most of the time I am losing my money there. It is showing that I am connected but I can't surf the net properly. And when I disconnect and check the load balance, I'll see that it has been deducted already.

Clap! Clap! Clap! For your earnings, I do wish I will earn at least $20 dollars a month on this, I really enjoy reading discussions here in Mylot. This ISP issue is not new with me, I am also annoyed by this problem, having a bad connection or even having a no connection, then all you can do is talk to their technical people and wait for them to come to your home. It's really frustrating specially when you are paying them a lot but not getting the services they promised to give you when you are still thinking to subscribe to them. =(

Hi Gabs, You can reach that amount too. But it's a little hard sometimes if you're busy with your offline work, of course that must be prioritized The technical people can't help at all even how many times I call them up, waiting for someone to come to my home is the only solution sometimes. Yup it's so frustrating I hope they would do something about their network.

You betcha..enelym...I must have "income" that is reliable and budgetable. Owning (with the Bank) a home, requires that one must always have an income! I always try and keep at least 6 months of required payments in the bank...just in case! And, with a home...there is ALWAYS something needing repairs! I truly did not know, how much I would miss my "myLot" friends until this event..and that includes YOU!!!
