I bet you were there and watched on TV while the Arroyo's had been blocked to flew from the country against their cases. You were there when they just decided to go back home from NAIA knowing that they cant leave the country despite of the court's decision to let them travel.
It seems that every president of the Republic of the Philippines has a bad scenario and doings. From Ferdinand Marcos, (Except C. Aquino), to Fidel Ramos, Erap, the worst (GMA)...and hopefully the son of COry and Ninoy will not go with the flow. Although He is still on the right track for the clean governance.
Move forward Philippines! Common!

This one is interesting. Remember what happened to ERAP? He prosecuted by GMA, got convicted and then after a brief house arrest he was pardoned. I think PNOY will also do the same thing.

Hi Grace...Yes all of them got their own shares in the fall down of our country and in for the continued worsening of it. Although I can see and maybe I maybe that young to know less about Cory. Since I have watched a lot of errs from the past presidents I have mentioned. What I mean is that is only the product of what I know and what I have watched/read.
I hate politics a lot. It has all the dirtiest stuff. Thanks anyways Grace as this will add up to the info I may know about the former Lady Pres.

Personally, I don't expect much from politicians or presidents. Let's just say that for me, politics is the worst beverage of all and the people in the government are shady in one way or another.
I also don't have a 'best' or 'worst'. That's pretty subjective and every Filipino who pays the taxes should have the right to air their opinions. I pay my taxes, I just don't want to air mine. Many people have their own fave president, and they have their own reasons for saying so. IF i have a fave president, I don't wish to have a debating match why mine is 'better' and the other's choice is 'bad'.
Basically, I don't judge presidents much and I give them a lot of slack. My reason is that they had the most difficult job for six years. Whatever they do, people cannot make their mind whether they are loved or persecuted in their time in office or when they return to the lower political rings. They might be in a very powerful position but nobody thanks them for their service (whether good or bad).
Everything they have done (even the good ones) is taken for granted.
As for Gloria Arroyo, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (wherever you might be).

I felt pity for GMA, Whatever wrong she did, she still has to be treated with some semblance of respect for being a past president. This is the second time that a president of the country has been incarcerated so does it follow that Pnoy will go to jail after his term? I hope not because this would be a poor reflection on the Philippines or do we also incarcerate a president who did not perform well in the position? There are still 4 more years to go and anything may still happen during the term of Pnoy.It is very unfortunate that this government has given too much priority on running after GMA than the more pressing issues that should receive the most concern. I hope the other pending cases like the Maguindanao massacre will receive the same kind of attention and speed that they have given the GMA case.
