I am handicap without the internet

Time seems to pass so slowly when the fingers are not on the keyboard surfing the net. Two days ago I came home to this house which has been my home for the past 5 years only to find that there is no longer internet connection due to long lapse of overdue bills. Without the internet I am at a loss of how to pass my day as I've been living in dual worlds ever since the virtual world came into existence. Luckily I have this cellphone to ease the itchiness caused by this net bugs. With the cellphone limitations in internet usage I am happy that I can post and view other topics all the same but not without straining the eyes looking at the pin size alphabets and typing on a tiny screen. Thanks to my still perfect eyesight for short distance viewing. what would you use if your internet has been disconnected?

It was sad to hear your condition. It's a speechless condition. First thing first, should you be confused certainly not knowing what to do since our internet had been disconnected. I was sorry. There's almost nothing that you would do to make money online in line with internet disconnection. If I were you, I would have tried to make it working out or maybe I would try to get the connection again with all the effort. You have to be thankful for what you have got, you still have a cell phone. I was sure that were other people who were worse than your life state.

Yep, I am one of the few fortunate people who have access to internet but since I am moving around so often from one house to another I find it hard to upkeep my internet subscriptions in few places at one time. Now I am back to my other house where the internet is always connected then only can I respond to this discussion that I posted through my cell phone.

I feel the same way. I know if something happened to my internet connection I go completely wild. I go through computer withdrawals. But, look at it on the other hand. You at least have a cell phone for making some responses or postings. I know it is difficult to do on a cell phone. But, you will have to bear with it until you get the money to pay the bill.

My problem is I am always hoping from one house to another and lately I've been staying longer in one house which resulted in the disconnection of the other house internet. Since my cellphone is doing just as good as the computer internet, I am thinking of not reconnecting the internet for the time being.

Yes, I am using my cell phone when I am on the move. It comes handy though a little inconvenient.

Well, if the cell phone is doing the job and you can deal with the little screen and keyboard, then that should be good. So, why not do this, use the cell phone when you're not near the computer and the computer when you're able to.

HI Zandi! I could relate to you. I also sometimes face the same problem, when my connectivity gets lost. In that case I use my cell phone. It is really difficult to go for mylotting through the small screen of cell phone but when you do not have any other option, it is OK. We could console ourselves - 'something is better than nothing'. I do hope that you get your net connection sooner than later. All the best.

That has been known to happen to me and I have to use the internet for my work. So when it is unavoidable I will end up at the library to use their internet access.

I've never used the library for their internet access. I should have thought of going to the library than be filled with boredom without my daily net surfing.

I understand your condition, specially when you love and share. I do not know what I would do. But next action would be to speed up the process to get the connection. Today it may not take long to get the phone and internet connection. I hope you will make up for it soon.

You got addicted with the internet. Unfortunately, there's no rehabilitation for it. Well, just kidding. I guess I am nearly that :) At least you have your cellphone to use, but there are limitations though. Happy mylotting!

Yup, I'm interested but it looks like it's gonna make us become more addicted to internet if we have to log in everyday :) Thanks!

This sounds like a hopeless condition, addiction without a cure. Would you like a web address that will address such a thing? It is a program, you become a member and promise to log in everyday for a period of one year. Interested? Yes, I am happy with mylotting too. :-)

Need we not accept the fact that we are now living in two worlds, the real world and the virtual world? With all the information supplied by the computer via the internet, life has changed so much so that people are becoming more obsessed with the wonders of the information technology.

Personally this is always one of the main things I always make sure that gets paid. I would be lost without my Internet connect and would constantly have to be going to a library or somewhere with my laptop when I am not working to make sure I can keep connected with this site, Facebook and my online business. Yes, I have internet connection on my Cell phone that is unlimited which helps, but it would not be the same if I had to rely on just this.

I try to keep my bills up to date but I have been away for so long from my other house and didn't plan to make a quick home trip. Disappointment awaits my arrival as the computer has been left unused with the internet connections cut off. It is quite a remote place and the library is a distance away so I've to be contented using my cell phone.

Mobile phones with internet have only been newly introduced so it has yet to get many people to understand the usage of cellphones with internet. Only when I am in desperate situation that I sought the services of my cellphone to log in to the net.

Internet is vital to me. I like reading peoples' opinions on forums on different topics. I use the Internet to watch movies, to listen to music and to keep in tocuh with people through e-mail. It's also very handy for finding the information I need at a certain time. I wouldn't use a cellphone to surf the Internet, because I think it's unsafe (you expose yourself to more threats than by using a pc) and the tiny screen can be annoying.

So far I have not encountered any problems using my cellphone internet. But I don't use it too often though except for receiving my emails and in emergency cases when I can't surf the net through the usual means.

I hope u can soon get your internet going again. I know how much i would miss mine if something happened to it. I have a cell phone but never use it, don't even know what my number is & i don't think it's where i could get the net on it. It's just one u buy minutes for & i very seldom use it.

I have no choice but to rush back to my other house as the internet there is sort of permanently connected.

It's true I also have gotten caught up in the Internet and to do without would be an adjustment. However since I read a lot I always have books to fall back on. And if all else fails I might even get some house work done around here.

No internet can be a blessing in disguise as it means I have the chance to browse through the pages of the books that have long been waiting for me to read them. In the absence of internet I turn to books for comfort.

Why not go to the library, although the time is limited but at least you can still got internet access. Sometimes, if you want Free Wi - Fi, you might go to the library, they always provide Wi - Fi free of connection, which is provided by the county. I hope that is a useful information.

I feel your pain. I had to go through a couple of internet providers before finding one I was compatible with. Have you heard of clearwire, my bill is only 40.00 a month for high speed. For some reason I am able to pay my internet bill each month as for the rent thats another story. I use my cellphone connection for viewing my emails and browsing. I don't recommend typing too much the keyboard is so small. I hope your able to regain service soon. In the meantime smile...

Not heard of clearwire before. Our country's internet providers are monopolized so we don't have much choice. Well, basically I use my cellphone to only view emails but when I can't have internet access from the computer, I've no choice but to use it.
