Is virat kohli is next sachin tendulkar?

Hello Ashu, No doubt VIRAT is a good batsman and is a strong contender to get into the team when Sachin retires but to compare him with Sachin is not good as Virat has still to do a lot to be compared with Sachin. I hope with his concentration and hard work he will prove soon his worth and may be he goes higher than Sachin as he has lot of career still left and has got the potential to prove it.

Sachin Tendulkar is a great player . He has unlimited records to his name and such a batsman is born in a century. Virat Kohli is a good player but it is early to say that he is the next Sachin. Only time will tell.

Well Ashudeep, there is no doubt that Virat Kohli is a great cricketer. His ability to convert small innings to a greater one is really awesome. The way he accelerates his striking is also great. Any person who is into cricket does not need to search for "records for virat kohli" or records of "Sachin Tendulkar". They are quite known to all the cricket fans. Virat's 8 centuries in his initial phase of his career had already proved his capabilities. Not to forget that out of his 8 centuries, 5 of them are under day and night situation. That makes him centuries more valuable. However there is no need to compare Virat and Sachin. Sachin had already given 2 decades of his life to the game and Virat is yet in the initial phase. Well we can hope that he may take the place of Sachin after his retirement. But as you know, sachin himself does not know, when Sachin will retire. So it's better not to judge them. Thanks. Beekay

Let Virat Kohli be Virat kohli , Much of this Sachin Tendulakar. I agree that He is a great batsman. But Let Others make them Their own place and name.

I agree with you ashudeep, Virat is going to be a good replacement for Sachin Tendulkar as and when he decides to hang his boots although his boots are too big for any one to fill. I had posted about this a long time back before his stint at the Caribbeans and many friends criticized me for that saying that nobody could replace Sachin. Virat however has to prove his worth as 2 down test batsman. He has failed bitterly in the Caribbeans. Only those who are capable to withstand pace, bounce and movement can be considered as a replacement for Sachin. Rohit Sharma could give him a tough fight for that spot.

I think Sachin is the one of the greatest players in all times with heavy records. I think it will be very difficult to to become a player like Sachin. If Kholi put great efforts he can be a good cricketer but not up to Sachin. He will surely become a super star.

Virat Kohli has all the makings of the next batting superstar for India. Whether he can beat the big small man of Indian cricket it would take some time to figure it. He is still very uncomfortable against the bouncing ball. No, i dont think that virat is about to be sachin. He may replace sachin but cant be 2nd sachin. Sachin is unique and incomparable. Virat's style might be followed by sachin.

His conversion rate of 50 to 100 is good and he has already hit 8 tons.His batting skills are tremendous.But, he has to cement a place in Indian Test Squad to prove his worthy. It's too early to say this. His oversees performance will be under scrutiny and there are many other factors like his fitness level etc.But yes, he can become Indian future Sachin Tendulkar.

See we can not compare any player with a legend like Sachin. But of course, by analysing the style of game we can say that Virat is a highly talented batsman and he has a great future too. But he has to go a long way and we have to wait and see how much he would be able to deliver for the country.
