It's that time of the year again. Did you make resolutions for 2011? If so, how did it go? I did well this year. My resolutions were to take off 20 lbs and to write two books. I managed to achieve both. I haven't decided what I want to do for 2012 yet. How about you? Are you going to make resolutions this year? If so, share them with us and give us some ideas. Happy Mylotting.

unfortunately I wasn't able to accomplish my new years resolution of losing weight. but I did keep my promise to graduate in College so it was not a total lose :)
this year I my goal will still be to lose weight, and probably work harder this year to earn more money, both in real work, and online.
Happy Holidays to you LaurenInLA

Weight loss was on my list every single year for 20 years. This was the first year that I was actually able to do it and actually able to keep it off. Best of luck to you in your 2012 goals

No I did not never did except for trying each year again to put me at the first place instead of all the others and forget about me time after time.
Went to a "fortune teller" at the start of the year. Saw her year after year at the Pasar Malam I visited. I wanted to know this time what she is (cap)able to see.
Wrote down all she said, untill now nothing of what she said became true. So I think I will tell her so next year.

Putting yourself ahead of others is an important goal. Good luck. I hope that you can do it for yourself this year

Making resolutions and reviewing how one did on them is good. But I barely do this as most do-at end year/new year. I keep myself from commenting on the practice except state in contrast that I make resolutions on a regular basis for shorter timelines & add new ones if I am successful in accomplishing the previous. I would cal them tasks rather than resolutions to emphasize to myself that they're meant for serious implementation. .
Some typical tasks I set for myself in 2011 were to learn new skills in writing, start making money online and bring orderliness in work place. I have completed them all. I am working on setting my next tasks.

I like the task idea. It's a different way of looking at it but since it's a shorter timeline you stay focused. Thanks for the suggestion

I write mystery novels. I would share my hopes for 2012 but I will respect your superstition.

In New Year, I said that I was going to lose weight. Since January 1st 2011, I have lost 5 and a half stone and I have never been happier. I mean, yes I still have a fairly long way to go, but I have lost most of the weight that I have to. It is the first time that I have actually managed to lose weight so successfully before, and I can't tell you how much it means to me that I have managed to keep my resolutions for once in my life. This year, I will resolve to lose the remaining 30lbs that I have left to lose before I reach my goal weight.

Congratulations. You can do it. I lost 42 lbs and have maintained the weight loss for 8 months. Best of luck to you.
