Just the teaser title. . In fact I like to learn as much as I think I love sharing about all blogging & social media related issues. I am willing to share anything I have learnt over four years of blogging. I see but a few discussions by bloggers-new & experienced. So also about social media. Are there fewer bloggers among myLot members? Can we have an exchange of issues from newbies & experts please? Anything & everything about blogging.

I had an active blog... and that was some years ago... The lazy me always takes over and hence my last post on that one went online sometime in history... But I still have visitors coming in. I also keep getting emails that I re-start posting into that one at least one email every month... but... dear, my health, my other engagements and my medicine induced dullness doesnt make things easier for me And honestly, this is the nth time that I promise myself... to re-start the blog but then... there is no anti-dote for Laziness you see

I know sids. You can do only so much that health & spare time allows us to do. I'm also not the type that posts an article every week or less often. . It is getting a little less frequent for me too as I am getting into too many things. . Yet, I'm trying to squeeze myself to do some optimization and help myself with a bit more monetizing opportunities. Right now I'm reading an online self help SEO guide to see how I can improve my site's keywords, rankings and attract more visitors. Good points from you sids. Take care.

I visited your profile page to send you an FR and I am happy that I found something related to my illness - the Ulcerative Colitis. I have bookmarked the "colon detox" link and I will quick read that one tomorrow. Maybe I can benefit something from that one

I was into serious blogging on various issues in 2007,2008. I was writing in sulekha and ibibo when they were paying per blog. Now I do not write in those blogs. I have a blog site for bank jobs. wish you success in your writing in blog field. good day.

Good to know you were an active writer. What were you focusing articles on? Of course one will have to constantly keep writers' block away and stay motivated to write which many find too daunting, for a variety of reasons. I have browsed your blog about bank jobs. Do you actively blog there? How often do you update it? DO you earn from it?

I'm not a blogger and I think that the reason that I'm not a blogger is because of the fact that I'm a pretty personal person. I like to keep a lot of things in my life private. I also understand that your own life is not the only thing that blogs can be about, but I really don't want to feel completely obligated to something because then I will also eventually come to feel like I've let it down.

Interesting take, dorann. Yes, blogs can be about a very wide array of topics. It can have highs & lows; whenever you feel you want something to be out of mind & shared you may write them down with no obligation to any one. Yet, when one starts feeling the pressure of not being able to write because a set of regular readers expect to see one write, it can be quite telling too. Right now, I'm going through that phase in which I am unable to keep it regular.

Hi! I used to write a lot in my blog over the past few years, but it seem that not many people are interested in it, so I gave up. I think the problem to continue writing in blog is when there are not many visitor or even no visitor to you blog, that will shut your interest to continue off, totally. From how you describe yourself, it seem that you are an expert in this field, so what did you do to pull in traffic to your blog?

I have been blogging daily from 2006-2009, it was a personal blog written mostly in Tagalog (Philippines) language... and then I stopped. I was using a free wordpress then and doesn't really know much about monetizing it since the free one's not allowing any form of earning from blogging. Only this year I thought about making a new one, when my brother told me to set up one that I can monetize. Unsure about what to put because I feel uneasy anymore to post personal things about my life. I decided to put some movie info or book info. And maybe put some personal entries in between, not necessarily about my life. I guess that would do now. What I don't know about it is how to put additional tabs (page) on the header.

Good you are thinking of reviving blogging activity. Just shortlist ideas that come to mind as you keep thinking for a few days, without feeling the pressure. Let the shortlist get big, no matter. And then try to relate to some experience or skill that you feel comfortable with to select your main theme. Of curse not all bloggers stick to a theme. Many write them as ramblings or musings which doesn't bind them to a specific theme. You may do that if you like.

Oh, forgot to respond to the last point. If you use WordPress for your blog, you will have a choice of hundreds of free themes and pages are an integral part of themes. If you meant the menu or navigation tabs, there are plugins freely available to meet any need. Even after you start, you may like to do many enhancements. You can always find answers for many queries at the appropriate forum or you may count on friends like me.

Yeah I still have another blog I kept written in English, but that has my ramblings. I never tell it to people I know, only one or two person have known that site.. I know they're not into blogging so they will just forget about the site I am in Wordpress.org and I'm using a free theme (Adept theme to be specific) Yup the Menu or navigation tabs, I was trying to put but somehow it's messing up the theme I'm trying to search for forums but I can't find any. So I haven't made any other menu there. It still has the Home and About Menu.

can u tell me how to add a featured post slider that automatically adds my recent post in the featured posts list with some label thingy or something in blogger? I'm confused with it only. Apart from that, I'd be glad to help the newbies. Ask me anything. :)

Hello Wajeeh: First of all, I am of a very strong conviction that WordPress is a superior blogging software over Blogger. For enhancements like the one you are looking to add, if I were to suggest for WordPress I would say you could look for one of the many plugins available at WordPress plugin library, install & set up very easily. I moved from Blogger to WordPress platform three years back & did not attempt doing such addons because I always found it messy. But if you still prefer to refer to a tutorial for detailed instructions, you may look up Blogger Buster by Amanda Fazani or Blgging for Dummies.
