For some reason I am having problems sleeping at night.
I do not nap during the course of the day and I do not
sleep to late in the AM...I am up before 7-8 most mornings
to open my blinds.. Then I will go back nmd lay down until
around 9:30 or so. But it seem like Its very hard for me
to get to sleep at night before 2-3-4 AM...I am just not
sleepy..I have sleeping pill but I don't really like to
take them...and the strange thing is that I am fine during
the day..Not tired at all.
Does anyone else have this issue

I have problem sleeping at night especially after eating some certain kind of food. I also find it hard to sleep if i am disturbed about emotional issues. For example, I have a problem with my relationship with a woman or collegue or boss i work with in the office environment. I think these and many more could affect one sleeping very well at night. thanks

I have no problem sleeping and just to sleep it feels very hard. I have a solution to sleep, usually I'll read some, till I am so weary and tired. I always used to read before bed.

I usually fall right to sleep, but depending on what I eat at night, I may be up a few times. Maybe if you did not lay down again, you would be sleepy at night. I get sleepy at about 7:30 pm. but then work past it and find that the later I stay up the more awake I am. If you are fine during the day I do not think I would take a sleeping pill, I would just work at retraining my mind and body.

LOL gerty even tho I lay back down I do not go back
to sleep...I lay down most of the day anyway because
I get to tired doing anything including taking a shower.
I have chronic pain in my back and neck..so most of
my days are spent sitting or laying down.

I do have the same problem once in a while, especially those days when I get too busy and frustrating at work. I don't take sleeping pills either. One way which helps in getting relieved of the stresses is meditation. I have been practising meditation for some years now. That helps getting relaxed and sleep well too.

Hi Bjc, as for me sleeping problem is quite common to me recently. Since the born of my son, i had through sleepless nights and most of the time, i don't really have enough sleep at nights. For most of the days, i am only able to sleep up to 5 hours only. It is rarely that i am able to sleep for 7 hours. Most of the days, i do feels sleepy and giddy. When i was still single, everyday i was sleeping for 7 - 8 hours. I hope when he start schooling, i am able to have more hours to sleep. So, for my case, i need more time to sleep rather than sleeping pills.

I was about to answer a response for someone else and I saw they responded to your post and I wanted to give you some advice. There is a product that I love that is all natural and it puts me to sleep within a half hour every time. It is called Super C you can find it at Wagreens in the sleep aid section, it is sugar free and all natural. It comes in little packets that you mix with water, I usually only need a half of a packet.

I have severe depression with panic attacks. I am finding lately that I am having more trouble than usual getting to sleep. Ofcourse part of the problem is lack of activity but I usually don't have this problem. Lately it has been 5 or 6a. before I am finally sleepy.

My problem is about waking up . I will fall asleep immediately as I reach the pillow, but I have trouble when I have to wake up. I know I should not be like this, I'm not a teenager anymore, I have kids. I always use 2 alarm ringer for my wake up call.

Rare days i have also some sleeping problem.Don't use sleeping pills, in our Holi book says that if we have sleeping problem we recite the God's name several times we will surely fall down to sleep. Whenever i had similar problems i recite the God's name and got good results.

That body clock of yours is all messed up dude and you need to change it quick if you want to get back to your old self. Having our internal clock messed up is very frustrating because it contributes to the stress we encounter in our daily lives because of our lack of sleep. Try listening to soothing songs or read long books such as history books. It helped me sleep when I was in the same state as yours and it should help you too.

I have this problem also. I am a college student so my work and my sleep is very critical to me. I usually do some of the same things you mentioned, going to sleep late, and waking up early. For some reason I just dont be tired or I just can't sleep. I went to the doctor and he allowed me to take some mild sleeping pills. I am doing fine. You should maybe go and visit your doctor.

Lately I don't have such issue with sleeping disorder though. I normally would follow my schedule on the weekdays, like I would go to bed around 9:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. then I would fall asleep easily. During the weekend, I might watch DVD until 4:00 A.M. in the morning, then I would sleep easily too. Much due to the affect of the cold weather. I seems not have enough sleep lately.

Yes I have the very same problem. My husband says it's because I think too much and that I don't know how to relax, unwind, & go to sleep. I guess he is right because I am sleepy right up until I go to bed. As soon as my head touches the pillow my mind starts racing with all the things I need to do the next day around the house.
