blue holes are the results of the erosion in which water breakes down roke.the holes later filled with the sea water as the sea level changed.Zhangjiajie, where is about 200 kilometers away from my home, had been in sea water hundreds of thousands of years ago.there a lot of blue holes either.what's the local landscape in your area?

well, I'm in central Texas where, despite all the movies, it is actually rather hilly and not a desert, tho after this last summer, you wonder why! We have lots of caves here in the limestone from the lowering water table in the past and lots of springs as well, the most famous in town is Barton Springs... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barton_Springs
