For all who has a job,it is not easy for them to study. Not only will have less time to study than others but also will be very tired in body and mind after a working day,and the quality of studing also will be affected. However, sometimes,we can not give up our jobs. Studying itself is a course of investment. We need spend time and money, but also take on the risk of failture in exam. And if giving up our jobs, we need bear the greater pressure in money and mentalify.
Working or not working, this is a problem. Let us discuss on today.

Here's my take on this one. You need to take into consideration the nature of the field of study you are going/planning to embark on. There are those which are relatively easy and there are those which needs to more time and focus. If the study falls in the former, then you can stick with your job and study at the same time.

I wouldn't give up my job only for the sake of studying. I'm eager to work when I'm a student,so it is impossible for me to give up the job! In nowdays' society, owning a job means a lot. You can do most of the things, that you wanna do if you have a job which can help you earn money, since money is nearly everything, and you can do nothing without money, including the things you want to study.Besides,we have to earn our life by ourselves.
On the other hand, working is also can reflect our life value, and we can study many things from work. We can study at home after work,we can study once we are free. In fact,we have plenty of time to study even have a job,the key is that how to arrange your time!

Hi,
Yes, you are right. It's certainly not an easy task to work and study at the same time. One needs to be mentally and emotionally strong to pull through this testing time. Emotional turbulence will work its way to prevent us from upgrading our lives. To reap the fruit of success we must metabolize our tumultuous feelings and be persistent in achieving our goals. So, no matter how hard things nay seem, one should stick to a job as this puts food in the mouth and continue with the studies as this will ensure a brighter future.

Hi julianmac,
First, thank you for your response,i think that not many people will give up their jobs for sake of studying. The reality is very cruel,if you don't have a job,you can't keep yourself. The risk of atudying gave up jobs is too big.

I underwent a same situation just 4 months back.
I was determined to get my Masters degree so had no chance of compromising with my studies. All I did was informed my manager about my plans and he luckily accepted my resignation. Though he asked me join the same company after the course.
Off-course, Now I have become more careful in terms of money matters as I have no source of Income and I simply have to rely on the savings I had done. I am only hoping things to get better once I complete my studies

As a person who studies and works, I know how hard it can be. It would be ideal to be in a situation where you don't need to work, like living with your parents or so, but when you're an adult and you have chosen your path, you have to take responsibilities.
When you want something, you will always have to give up something else. If you want to study and work, you will have to give up your free time, but in the end it's worth it, I think.

My coworker is in this exact position right now. We are caregivers and work 12 hr shifts and he is in nursing school full time. He is finding that both his school work and caregiving are suffering. He attends school from 7am-5pm and starts work 40mins away from school at 6. He is the night time caregiver so he is left studying at night while our client is watching tv. So he doesn't get to fully concentrate on his work and by the time he gets the client to bed, he has to go to sleep too because he has to be up and ready to leave by 6am when I start work. So he is mentally and physically drained, has a hard time paying attention at school, isn't getting homework completed and also is having trouble giving full attention to the client. But if you quit work, you suffer financially. My advice to him. Was to work one less day a week. There still would be a financial impact but not as great as quitting all together or to find employment that he would get paid more per hour but could work less so school wouldn't be affected so much.

I would give up my job if I couldn't get ends meet like fail exams miss too many courses. I personally left my job because I have two faculty specializations and can miss a thing. But in one or two years I will have a better job, and I will get paid for my faculty practice. I will be a marine officer, and as a cadet doing practice I will get paid. But you need support from parents or someone close if you don't have a job or money to pay for your studies or other life essentials

See i am a final year student.I have got a job.I will be doing my MBA after 2 years. So i have to start prepare now itself. So it is important for me to concentrate both in my studies and job.You have to make your life easy for yourself. If you cannot balance between things in your life, then you are not fit to live.

I think the work and education are equally important. To get a good job, it need to be supported by good education too. However, working while school is very hard to do at the same time. Maybe for the rich where the business is a priority in their lives, education may not be such a big impact on them, yet their lives are also supported with enough money, but for those who are mediocre condition, of course they need the money from work and chances are they will leave education for work. I will leave the job if only for the sake of education is in a position that is unfortunate where I have to feed the family.

Hi there, pengyachu. I believe education is important but if you can have both work and studying that's better. If it's too difficult for you then I suggest you weigh on things. Better yet you can jot down the advantages and disadvantages if you study and if you work. Either way, I know you will do good. It is just determination and will power. Good luck on your endeavor.
