How do you get traffic for your site?

Making a site success, one would need traffic and I should say that it is the most important ingredient of a successful site. However it is also the most unpredictable and frustrating process if you do not know how.
I am facing that right now, my site is currently PR2 but the traffic is not rolling in like what I am expecting.
By the way I ping my site and submit my site to other sites.
But I am still getting lesser that 10 visitors a day. when would my site show up on google first page?
Share with me what are your methods of getting traffic to your site and how success have you been, maybe you could tell me about the number of visitors you have in a day or a month.

I don't understand the SEO and keyword stuff real well. What I try to do is put my article links on Facebook and other social networking sites. Am learning about all this but I find it confusing.

The point about not knowing is to learn I guess, I do not know much either but I am willing to put in some effort to learn more about SEO. I do hope I would be able to get some more from my site.

Hi i have used easyhits4U..it drives traffic to your website..well works for me. when I want people to visit my webste I will just go into easyhits4U and do some surfing in their website, there are 2 choices..you can surf 20 seconds and you get 1 visitor plus a credit..the credit you can use later to buy more visitors..and there is also 15 seconds but it will require you two 15 sec to get a visitor..try it, it might work for you too

Two years ago I am quite active in blogging.
However, I am not so active lately. From
what I know.. the 'key word' for searching
is very important. If you get a right word
as the header of your post entry, it seems
people search for it almost daily and from
all over the world.
One of my blogger friend even post her blog
link on twitter and Facebook to get more readers.

I hate traffic! Bumper to bumper! Gasler! Headache! Time wasted! ... just a laugh iwrite :)
I'm not been to blogging but as far as I read 'bout websites traffic, there's this offering a traffic to your site with a price. Well, it seems bogus to me. I've no idea how it works.
That's why I'm not into blogging or putting my own websites. It's not my thing to be on it... i'd prefer to be on MyLot. But I salute those into blogging, having website to enrich. I find them, including you, so much in mind that wants other to share it with... also to learn... least to earn, right?!
Hoping for a more traffic to your site iwrite!

Well depends on what kind traffic, car traffic I hate but web traffic I love.
Well I know I am learning to get traffic to have my site fill with content and maybe make some money on it. Enjoy your time at mylot and when I enjoy success I would like to share with some others.

Hi, i am not good about trffics in the site..I have blogs but i have no traffic much there..
I just leave it on there just let people see it..But i think i need improvement on that..
