what is SEO ??

my question is somehow related in blogging !
I am a newbie as a blogger and still working on about enhancing my knowledge about blogging.
Just want to ask , if your a blogger what is SEO for you ???
is this a stup*dquestion ? haha I guess a bit ..

I am no expert, and this is what I learnt.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, what it means is to optimize your site so it would rank high on the search engines.
Basically you have code your site so that it would be easy for the search engines to pick it up. Build back links and stuff like that.
