People have different color preferences. These particular colors are what makes them distinct from other people. It helps them feel good.
This is because, it is said that colors have the ability to change or alter our moods or even how we see things. It was said by a health expert , that those with high blood pressure should be kept away from hot & warm colors like red and yellow.
Well, for me green and white has a nice calming effect . I like wearing white or light green shirts. Our house is painted mint green and once you enter it, you can feel a calming effect. I like buying plastic products in light green. Some of my casual bags are also in green.
Wanna share your views too guys?

It is true. Different people, different colours that they like,I am not sure if that has to do with people's psychological factors .I like green too.I feel it symbols youth and is full of life. However, milky white is the predominant colour in my room.

Hmm, we have same likes in color, chang. White and green.
Most of my blouses are in white while my casual shirts are mostly in green. Maybe that's because when i am in my casual, green makes me feel young and carefree. White makes me feel classy.

You got it, chang.
I like appreciative glances on me, but i don't want them all to having their eyes on me. I feel so ashamed when they do that. I just want to be just low profile and just enjoy the occasion or the party as the occasion may be.

What people like to wear in the colors and styles reflect their character and accomplishments in a sense. It seems to me that you don't like making your presence felt.

I also love seeing the sights of trees and plants so that's why i love the color green too. Specially, when the flowers are in bloom, it makes me so happy just watching them. Makes me think, i am truly blessed to be seeing them.

My favorite color is green too. You can see that in my name right here. Many things in my house are shades of green, curtains, table-cloths, bedsheet, cups and saucers, and more. I feel so refreshed when I walk into my house when I get back after work.

Yeah, it's obvious that your favorite color is green, as your username suggests.
Green , because of its calming effect, makes us feel refreshed, whenever we enter into a room filled with that color. And so with, just looking at those rice fields that you pass by, when riding home.

hello SIMPLYD;)
I love color green too since I'm in my 4th year of High School. I love green not only of its calming effect, but also because I feel abundant when I see green. I remember the grasses and trees and by that, I can say our world is rich or abundant of God's blessings. That is the reason also why my name here is Greninee. ;-)...I'm a green adict.hehehe

Colors do affect people's moods. In a psychology class I had once, there was apparently this bar somewhere that had all of it's walls painted red - people ended up getting into a lot of fights there. The bar then painted all of its walls a dark blue-ish color and suddenly, no more fighting! Red is said to inspire aggressive, passionate feelings in people. Warm colors make people feel more energized, while cool colors make them calmer, even to the point of melancholy.

Yes, that's exactly what the expert said on TV.
At least, we also know how we can use colors to make our mood nicer.

I think white is mostly preferred by males and females. Green is calming to the eyes. But when it comes to wearing green, i think males tend to prefer other color.

I have watched an episode about color therapy on television and yes, I learned and agreed that color indeed affects our lives. Personally, I have experienced the effects of color in my life. Whenever I see light colors, I feel so soothed and relieved with my emotional distresses. On the other hand, dark and warm colors, as what you've already mentioned, like red and yellow cause a negative impact on the mood of a person. But of course, color therapy is not really the solution for people with major health problems. It's just an additional therapy to help an individual cope up with stress and other problems.

Oh so you did saw that episode too, my friend? And have you seen that old woman who had all her things in pink, even her house. But she looks happy all her life.
Well, it was said that color therapy should not be meant to cure, but to just help alleviate whatever bad feelings we are experiencing.

I agree that colors do have some special effects in our mood. I love yellow as it brightens up my day. All bright colors does. When i feel so hot, i like wearing white as they look so clean and fresh.
I've learned to appreciate green when i met and became friends with a gay co-worker. He always looked cool in green and it's only then that i was able to appreciate the color.

Indeed green has a calming effect on people, jricky.
When you feel tired, you just have to gaze out in those trees, and look at their leaves, colored green. Or you can simply gaze out in a ricefield. In a little while you will feel relaxed.

I love the color white. White cars. White interiors. White blouses and dresses. As you said, white is clear and fresh-looking. My preference for white things are known to all my relatives and friends. In one family event, when I opted to wear something bright and colorful, my family noticed the change immediately.

Indeed green has the color of nature. So that's why , it has a calming effect on people.
I think bright pink and yellow is also a no no to me. But having them in light shades will really make me like them.
