Do you believe in 13???

Each 13th of each month I am either clumsy or pi$$ed off. I can count on one hand the number of 13ths that were ok or even perfect. I avoid 13 where I can.

I used to live in an old cottage. The numbers didn't include number 13 because it would have been unlucky. I wouldn't book a flight on 13th of a month or the plane might crash. I wouldn't be happy if pregnant to have a baby born on 13th. My sister had one born on the 12th so just in time and another born on 14th well done for missing it. One of my friends was born on 13th May the poor guy. If looking for a new home I wouldn't buy number 13. I worry about the year 2013.

To me 13 is just another number in the calendar!

No, I'm not superstitious, Mr_Pearl. But I can see why hospitals and hotels and airlines wouldn't have the number 13 due to so many people being superstitious. It is surprising how superstitious people are. I've seen many intelligent people make a cross in front of them when they see a black cat cross the road. My former husband would do that every single time a black cat crossed his path. It never ceased to amaze me how he could be so troubled by a simple black cat. He also thought Friday the 13 was also unlucky... when it is just like any other day. One of my best friends was born on Friday the 13th, he felt that day was lucky, rather than unlucky... I don't feel either way about the day or the number 13.. it's just a number.

Don't worry.Number 13 is not a bad number.Actually,it is good.And I tell you that it is a very lucky number. -Oh.I was thirteen when I entered high school,and that was one of the best part of my life. -I was thirteen when I truly fell in love. -I always watch channel 13 in television because their shows are good.:) See?13 is a good number.:)

Growing up my father always considered 13 to be a lucky number so I've never had negative feelings about it. Some might say I'm superstitious about a lot of things, but 13 is not one of them. Now 666...

I am not sperstitious. I don't believe that the number 13 will bring me a bad luck. It doesn't make a sense that a number can have such a big effect on our lives. Actually my son's student number is just 13. I don't mind it at all. In fact it is just the western's tration and thinks that 13 is a bad luck number. We don't have such a thought here. I love China

Hi mr._pearl, It is stange how old beliefs affect us but I guess if we hear something enough times, especially when we are young, the thought never really leaves us. That is why religion still has so much power over people. I don't consider myself a superstitious person, in fact put no stock in such things, yet I always notice when the number 13 turns us. I don't panic or get upset, in fact I usually smile, but the point is I still notice it. Blessings.

As a Christian and believe in the bible. I don't believe in superstitious belief even do there are things being happen. I don't believe that number 13 will give us a bad luck anything happen to us... Those things was happen because of coincident and or they really happen according to our life destiny... The bible tell us what will happen into our life...

The number superstition is different from one culture to another. While in some countries the number 13 is considered unlucky by superstitious people, in other countries is number 4, for example. Of course, I don't believe in things that are made up to scare kids, like every single existing superstition ever, but I find it funny to see grown ups avoiding things becuase they bring "bad luck"

I respect the belief of every people here in this forum, but I think 13 has nothing to do with luck. Still man is the master of his own desires.

no. i don't believe in it..i think it all just depends on ourselves..it's only superstitious and created by people's imagination..me personally i don't pay attention to it and don't really believe in it..

I doesn't think that number 13 is bad or unlucky. The doings of a person makes one unlucky. I wounder why every one is cursing the number 13. I think it is just superstitious belief. What do you think ?

I think there is nothing wrong with the number 13. I actually feel the same way in the past. I fear number 13 but then later on, I realized that there is nothing about it so you don't have to worry about it. Anyway, only God knows what is really with the number 13.

No, I am not a fan of 13. Have not seen it make any difference in my life. I wouldn't worry about it. Of course, if you dwell on the superstition, you will eventually see something that suggests it is real.

I'm not superstitious especially regarding the number 13. I was born on Friday the 13th. On my sixth birthday my mom had my baby sister I felt so lucky to receive a baby sister on my birthday. I never bother with such silly superstitions. its all in the power of positive thinking, if you think positively then positive things will happen if your a person that thinks negatively bad things will happen. Its like the saying the glass is half full or half empty depending on your perspective.

I have had good luck with number 13, lol. I don't believe in superstitions, but have nothing against people who do. Whatever floats your boat.

Next Tuesday 13th I will have an appointment with my doctor. I hope to hear good news although in my country many people not only believe that number 13 is bad luck, but also that you should stay inside your house and not marry or take a trip on Tuesday. I will go to the hospital, I will expect good news. I guess I´m not supersticious.

13 is a secret number of secret power, it has nothing to do with bad luck. This is all just made up by the church who was hunting for .... (who exactly you will find on the internet as well). I think it's a bad thing to let yourself lead by a number or kind of suspicion. I also wonder why people who do believe in stuff like this never take the time to find the history about it.
