I read the information about inauguration of new property of RGBC at Shimla and was thrilled to note that after a very long time the Management has rightly thought of admiring a Hill Station rather than a Sea Shore. As a member ,I have visited RGBC's resorts at Goa , Bali and Jaipur. With pleasant experiences at all the Resorts , I immediately decided to visit Shimla and enjoy the Hill station property . The booking formalities were completed from Goa and we started on 13th August ,2011 from Ahmedabad to Delhi by flight and from Delhi to Shimla by Taxi. Due to long weekend and public holidays , there was a tremendous traffic all throughout the highways. We were stuck up at several places and the normal time schedule of our arrival at Shimla by 9.00 pm was delayed beyond expectation . I was extremely happy to receive a very polite phone call from Mr Pradeep kumar , Front Office Executive of Royal Himalayan Club Shimla inquiring about our present status and location and informing us that he would help us by keeping the restaurant open till 11.00 pm so that we can have delicious food after a tiring journey. On our arrival past midnight , the front office executive and other subordinate staff had given us "Royal Welcome" and we were delighted to see the ambiance of the RGBC's resort at Shimla . All rooms are front view rooms and vow the morning Valley view was awesome.The clouds were sailing from the valley right under our nose. The " Fairways" restaurant located on the first floor of the resort has a gem of a person called Mr. Nitya Nand ,the sous chef. His ever smiling face and always helping hand opens up your appetite . In spite of heavy rush, he made special recipes for us without onion and garlic and equally delicious. The General Manager Mr. Sukhjender Pal would come and greet us all every time he happened to see us. The front office Assistant Mr.Bhupender Thakur would be more than happy to provide any information required by us. The overall experience at Royal Himalayan Club Shimla for all of us has been very satisfying.
