Irrespective of the social background, (some) women are indeed very ignorant of the fact that it's baby's right to be breatfed. But how can we expect them to be aware of the baby's rights when they are ignorant of there own? How bad have we become over the years to deny a child its nature's share? I fear that the digitalized civilisation is turning Nature's gift alien to our kids.
Let us Contemplate what best could be done to mitigate the situation. Are we not duty bound to instil the importance of breastfed to young mothers.
Breastfed is unique and precious gift of Nature. It helps the infant to fight against infections and diseases. It has the perfect combination of protien, Lactose and fat. There are health benefits both for mother and the infant.Breastfed mother's have a lower risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and uterine cancer.
Breastfed infants have more IQ than those that are not.Breastfed infants tend to have a special bonding with the mother which can never be measured by any scale.

I wanted to feed my babies in the natural way. I was able to feed my first baby son with my natural milk. I later switched to using a bottle and formula milk. I wasn't as lucky with my second baby son. He was born at home and then transferred to the special care baby unit in hospital. It was similar to intensive care. I took home an electric expressing machine and got natural milk but it was hard to get more than one to three bottles worth a day. I had to let him have formula milk as well. When my daughter was born I suffered severe bleeding which nearly killed me. I was put in the high dependency unit. My body was in a weak way and didn't make much natural milk. I kept trying but my milk dried up. My body was just trying to survive. My sister fed each of her four children in the natural way.

Thanks. My daughter was born 2 years ago and I lost so much blood I was very poorly for 3 months. I kept fainting and then felt very weak. My younger son was born 4 years ago. He is disabled and in a wheelchair. I agree feeding the baby in the natural way is very important. I like that my sister managed to feed all her kids in that way.

I'm impressed by the way you have handled your situations. From your post I can really make out how strong (will-power)lady you are. My hugs to you.
