"Censorship on internet and social networking" Is it really possible ?

Today govt. of India has announced that they will force the social networking sites, google and yahoo to regulate and then make objectionable content public. Is it possible or not ?

Well, I have come accross several pics of FB which are uncensored. However, I then switched to Xackster.com which has a good tram when it comes to mederation and restricting uncensored content.

Indian govt. can ban those sites but won't be able to rgulate them as it is almost impossible to do it.
