I just bought a new laptop and i was just curious when i put the battery plan to "high performance" a few moments after, i would notice that it was a warning that "current plan may reduce battery life". and because of my own ignorance, when it was full charged i kept the charger plugged and remove the battery instead.
I'm no genius on this so i was wondering if this was a good thing to do?

Yes you are doing a good thing for your laptop's battery. I have read an article about laptop's battery too that say if our battery life will decreasing each time it is charged no matter for how long. So it is count on per charge. That is why it is better to remove the battery when your laptop is plugged.
Also from that article, they say something about keeping your laptop's battery too. They say it is better to keep our battery unused when it is have betwen 40% to 70% capacity. If you already charged it too 100% capacity, then use it first until the capacity reach 40%-70% so we can keep it safe when it is not used.
Well, i doing all the suggestion from this article and there is no problems with my laptop's battery until now.

As for me, I usually use my laptop directly switch to AC source. I removed the batteries out of my laptop and only use it during traveling and when I am moving my laptop to a different place. Such things occur only in seldom situations and so far I don't have my battery with my laptop. I do this because I do believe that I may damage my laptop batteries when it is continuously on my laptop while on an AC source. Much like on cellphone batteries too. However, I always try to use my laptop batteries once in a while to be sure of its condition. Also, I do this to save electricity which is consumed to continuously charge my battery.

I always travel alot, and I always bring my Laptop with me, so I'm always on the go.
And when i'm home and my battery is full charge, i would immediately remove it.
I think so too that it's like a battery of a cellphone, overcharging really reduces battery life.
thanks for the response

I doesn't used to remove the plug or never used to off the UPS of my computer. I used to off them when there is lighting or not. I used to practice this from the time when I buy My PC still now. It doesn't creates any problem in me.

no but i've tried. my battery is weak, it wont last an hour so i always plug it in. one time i tried removing it and forgot that i did.. i unplug it right away so my laptop restarted and i lost some data unsaved. too bad.. the reason why my batt is now weak is i always forget to unplug it before so its overcharged most of the time until it no longer last even for an hour.

Yes while you are plugged in you should remove your battery to allow your computer's battery to last longer. My father never did that now his battery literally does not even last a minute. So i highly recommend you do it, especially with a new laptop.
