Hi butterflykisses35010, your topic recalls me how I was addicted to the fun surfing net during those earler days. I would feel bored and my daily life seemed meaningless without internet connection. At present I have lots of interesting things as well as activities to do fill my leisure times. like this couple of weeks I go vacation in different tourist spots where most of them internet or wifi is not avalable. And now I'm having meal in an outlet where wifi is available and l do my best to type posts here via my phone. It doesn't without internet connectionfor some time but not all the time for there are lots of essential works still have to depend on internet.
Happy posting

Of course I could live without it because I do not depend on it for food, warmth, shelter, any of the necessities of life. But I would miss it so much. It is a source of connection to people I am otherwise seperated from, it is entertaintainment because I do not have nor want a televison, it is a useful source of information. The Internet had become a fact of everyday life, living without it would be like living without a telephone, central heating, or any other modern device we take for granted but ultimately we could survive without any of these things, it would just mean learning a different way to live.

Well, although most of my daily life depend on Internet. But I would still live happily without Internet. That is to say,I still have many pleasant things to do.I can play basketball, play badminton,table-tennis,climb the mountain,or go out for a trip with my friends.I can also clam down my mind and set myself quiet in a chair to read some beautiful articles.Actually, when I get out from the world of Internet,I always find the real world so wonderful, much more wonderful than the world of Internet, although the world of Internet itself is also wonderful.I have always been a person who loves the nature since I was 4 or 5 years old,and I would try to get out from the world of Internet and leave more time for me to embrace the beautiful and lovely nature!

Yes. The internet is fun and helpful, but everything you do here can be done somewhere else. Flash games? PC. Movies? Store. Youtube? Funniest Home VIdeo's (TV). Its not irreplacable, it just brings everything closer to your fingertips.

not in this time of technology and globalized world. the internet has done wondrous things for me. it enables me to connect with friends wherever they are. it enables me to publish my thoughts through blogs. it enables me to know and learn things through the publications online. it enables me to earn a bit from my blogs and freelance writing. i could not imagine myself detached from this wired world.

I do not think I could. With all of the things you can do on the web these days, you pretty much have to have internet. Although recently I moved to a rural area and I had to get Verizon internet that is much slower than my old internet and way more expensive. The verizon internet also does not allow me to have a good online experience on xbox live.
