this is deathly match for both of the team..both of them had only 1 choice, win... because one slot is belongs to Bayern Leverkusen... actually chelsea play with a good start when Raul Meireless shoot can give pressure Diego Alves post...but ALves save that strike... but the disaster come in nutes 3 when Juan Mata, Raul Meireless combination make a trouble in valencia goalkeeper and superb asisst from Juan Mata was finished by Drogba strike and can`t be saved by Alves.. 1-0 for Chelsea.. it`s weird celebration when Drogba imitate the style of Anelka when make celebration..i don`t know why... but after that Valencia take control and dominate the game.. Chelsea was in under pressure..but the defending of Chelsea was really superb and so closely... But chelsea take th advantages when the quickly counter attack from Raul Meireless and Juan Mata, had been conversed by goal by Ramirez in minute 33..actually this goal was made too because one player of Valencia did not make a good guard for Ramirez and Ramirez stole that ball..2-0 for Chelsea and Andre Villaz boas can smile... Valencia still use their style, dominate and take the control.. until the first half ended, valencia possesion ball reach 63 percent...but it`s not effective...they only make the finishing with a assist and crossing and it`s hard because Terry and David Luiz is strong when have jumping with Soldado...wrong tactics i think... and in the second half, the goal from Drogba ended the superb effort from Mestalla boys, 3-0... COngratulations for Chelsea and Andre Villas Boaz and Goodbye for Valencia in champions league..

I think this was a massive result for Chelsea and AVB. Both of them were seriously floundering. With this win, Chelsea's confidence would be back. AVB will know that his job is safe for some time at least now that the boys have qualified for the next stage. What's even better is that they have qualified as group winners, so can expect a weaker opposition in the first knockout stage. Now they have Man City in the league!! Cheers! Ram

I think now Pep Guardiola should call up Mancini and ask him "Were you just comparing your club with mine?" :) Cheers! Ram

Judging from the recent form, I would not have predicted this scoreline. I expected it to be a close affair but Chelsea blew Valencia away. Not only did the blues clinch qualification, they grabbed top spot after Leverkusen could only drew with Genk.
