My mom wants me to go with her on their Office Christmas Party.

A pleasant day fellow mylotter,
A while ago, my mom tells me to go with her on their Office Christmas Party. Since my niece and nephew will also go along with my mom to visit their Godmothers and Godfathers which is also working on the same office. With regard to this, I have told my mom, that, I don't like to go with them, since I do not have anything to do at that Party. Besides, it is their Office Christmas Party so I think it will not approapriate for me to join. Another thing, I am too old enough to go along with my nephew and niece to say Merry Christmas to their Godparents.

I have already talked to my mom. I told and explain to her in a nice way that, I don't have anything to do at their party. Neither to go with my nephew and niece while they greet their Godparents.

I 100% agree with you. It is your moms office party so you shouldn't have to go. It would be very award. I believe Christmas office parties should be for the employees only.

I also like to bring my kids, even the teenager ones to our office christmas party, why because I would like them to meet the people I work with everyday. I would also like my friends to know my kids. I mean they are both family to me. It's not everyday that they get to be together just once a year and probably on special occasions. Just give your mom a break and be happy for her on these occasions.

i am sure she is so proud of you that she wants her officemates to see and met you in person.

So don't go, if you don't feel like going. I can understand the feeling because i know that you are not one of those office mates of your mother.
And besides, maybe your nephews and nieces are so much younger than you, so they can go to their godmothers in your mom's office Christmas party. But as to you, you can opt to beg off from it.

No problem for going with your mom because your mom knows child is allowed in office and other emplyee will also bring their child. Your mom think you should also enjoy so she is telling you why you dont want to go with her.
