I'm 21 years old and I'm planning to join a beauty contest in our province next year. This will be my first time to join such contest and I need advice. What I know is just how to pose or project in front of the camera(modelling) but it's way different. I already have a handler and he tells me that my edge is that I'm already a Registered Nurse. I still have 6 months for preparation actually. I'm starting to work-out everyday because I definitely need to lose weight.

in beauty contest your act must be natural then when you walk you must be little confident with your self. im telling little confident not much confident and avoid also to become super confident or very boastful to walk in the front of many people.
just feels like you are a queen walking around the people of your Castle never think that you are in beauty contest its because judges are looking at the personality of participant.

Thank you. Indeed, to walk like a queen..with a queen's personality. :) Though walking with confidence - that's my number 1 weakness. I'd surely work on that. :)

Wow, good luck with it. I don't know how you gonna pose or anything about beauty contest. But be natural is one of your biggest advantage because people don't like phony people. So, be yourself, I believe that they have trainer to train you and experts to teach you how to pose in front of camera. Good luck again!

Thank you kingparker. Yes, I have trainers to train me. I also hate phony people so swear I wont be like that. :) We'll start April next year and the contest will be on June, our city's fiesta.
