When traveling alone,I always get excited when ride public transportation like buses, train and airplanes when I saw they provide entertainment system in front of me. Especially when they provide small lcd screen with many option of entertainment from music, movie and even game. However, after a while about 2-3 hours I felt boring even I was playing with menu on those entertainment console and I started to look around for scenery or talking with somebody sitting besides me. How about you? What you usually do with those kind of entertainment system?

I rarely travel by bus, but on those instances wherein I do, especially going to the countryside, I still would prefer looking at the scenery or sleep if there's no scenery to look at :) But when I'm on board a plane, I watch the movies on the small TV console fronting my seat with coffee or juice in hand :)

Well, appreciate your fast response..You are right, I also like to sleep while having long travel journey using public transport, Meanwhile watching those movies is great when boring only.

On a plane I like a personal screen that shows choose when I want them movies, programs and music through headphones. I like the media to be in English which is my mother tongue language. One flight of twelve hours in the day time I watched four movies. I love the view out of the window on take off and landing. Reading is another thing I like to do on a smooth plane ride.
On a train and in a bus during the daytime I like to look out of the window at the passing scenery. I often get chatting to other passengers which can be very interesting. Funnily enough I met my ex-husband on a train in Australia. He was on his way back home after visiting family. A train ride is usually calm but a bus ride can be bumpy. Therefore on a bus of that description I get travel sick. In that case I couldn't look at a movie screen. On a train I can read but doing that on a bus would make me travel sick.

I think the entertainment system is only good if there is a variety of options. Else not many people will be interested in what is running in the show. I think usually flights have a huge selection of movies and content to keep you engaged for most of the trip.
Cheers!

I actually like watch the tv on the bus specially when i'm of to work in the morning.
it keeps me occupied while waiting for the time for me to get off.
In planes, i really like it when i'm playing the games provided for me, then i would watch movies if i had the chance, but if these things made me bored i would talk to my seatmate and try to have a conversation if he/she isn't busy.
happy mylotting
